Serious question for the non-American goons, because I'd like an outsider perspective. Our representatives' votes and positions are things that can be straight-up purchased by the wealthy and corporations. That used to be sort of an obvious open secret, but now they've just stopped bothering even pretending otherwise. That's insane, right? Like, that's not something people just accept as the standard elsewhere, is it?
