Bendis on Catwoman would be a good one I think. Been a while since she's had an ongoing and with the engagement she's primed for higher profile stuff again.

I would actually really like him on something like Detective but I wouldn't want to shift Tynion (or King, even more so) to do it.

Kind of surprised that no-one is talking about Batman Lost and how Morrison-esque it is. It is a time travel Batman book taking all the craziness of Morrison's run and bringing them forward again, and if you are a fan of Morrison's run I highly recommended the one shot.

The whole addition of Nyssa was lukewarm in the comics. It was kicked off by Rucka, I remember expecting something good to come out of it. I think only the Arrow TV show got any real use out of it. Man, I miss Cassandra. She (and her fans) really got screwed over.

Also Moore claiming that Johns mining his old stories for new ideas shows an imaginative bankruptcy also rings very hollow.

Hey who wants to hear me complain more about Robinson's WW? Okay great, you asked for it! This whole misbegotten arc is about the great big mysterious Jason, which should have been our first clue that it was going to suck because Jason is a pretty bad character. I hate Jason. Right off the bat his overall design is really blah, and the wonky art in this issue (in this whole arc, really) doesn't do him any favors. He's just...a shirtless guy in rolled up jeans. That's it. Is that really it? That's the sort of thing I'd expect and appreciate from a CW show or from 80s porn, not a major character introduction in this WW series. The first big thing he does with his powers is to create a tsunami, obviously, because his father is Zeus, god of the ocean! ...oh wait, is that not right? Okay, I know that Robinson gave a half-arsed pseudo-scientific explanation for it (he used air pressure to create a tidal wave! Nevermind that tidal waves aren't created by air pressure, but by earthquakes! I guess Jason just never took an elementary school science class), but c'mon. Just have him throw lightning, or create a tornado! The gently caress is this tsunami thing? I almost expected that page to reveal that their father was Poseidon instead of Zeus! It's just super weird that there's like a dozen other powers that a child of Zeus might have, but Robinson handed him the one that's not only least affiliated with Zeus but just flat-out strongly associated with another Olympian. It's like if you called him the son of Hermes but he has fire powers like Hephaestus for some reason. Rick Riordan weeps. All of which would be way more tolerable if the character were somehow more likable or interesting, but he's just yawn-inducingly bland and cliched at first...and then, out of the blue, as some sort of "twist," it turns out that he's actually working with Grail?...by which I mean that he turns mega whiny and throws a temper tantrum over hurt feelings or something and apparently he hates Diana and blah blah blah. Is this motherfucker really going to be a recurring presence in this book? 'Cuz that's clearly just what Wonder Woman's stories need...a big ol' maladjusted manchild with daddy issues/mommy issues/sister issues/whaaatever. Are we sure no one swapped him out for Superboy-Prime when we weren't looking? Like, poo poo, I'm obviously no Azz fan, but at this point I'll gladly take a couple of Lennoxes over this assrat. My only hope at this point is that he becomes so unlikable that he gets inevitably retconned or limbo'd whenever the next big reboot comes (c'mon Johns, you know you want to. Do it. Doooo iiiiiiit) but, based on upcoming solicits, Robinson clearly wants to establish some sort of redemption arc for him 'cuz obviously we all read Wonder Woman books because we wanna see some entitled dudeman get to "evolve" at her expense~ K that's all I got for now. Tune in some other day for another episode, entitled "The Letterers Clearly Give No poo poo About This Either," or possibly "Robinson Fails Greek Mythology 101" or perhaps even "Robinson Fucks Up Continuity Established About A Week Ago."

How is Cosmic Odyssey? Is there any reason to pick up the Deluxe Edition (or wait for the paperback version), or can save some money and pick up an older copy? I found a version old enough to be using the DC Bullet and it's cheaper for sure.

I don't consider Detective Comics one of the better Bat-books. Way too scattered a story without any resolutions. Besides, they killed off David Cain. It's (on a much smaller scale) like Batman without Alfred, he was a huge part of her character and the newer version was bad.
