The implication here being that because some Soviet soldiers committed atrocities in Germany, that somehow means that communism is illegitimate and that the Soviet state was just as bad as the Nazis. Nobody "just says" these things, especially not when they uncritically recycle exaggerated reports of atrocities intentionally cultivated by Nazis and people sympathetic to Nazis - which is literal Nazi historiography.
