He's a horrible human being for doing what he does, and you could very reasonably argue that, on that basis, he doesn't deserve the money he's earned, but again -- that doesn't make him stupid.

him being stupid would hinge, I think, on whether he actually buys into his own brand of loving nonsense; monetizing this has no bearing on his intelligence.

I would tend to agree. Personally, I don't think he believes his own nonsense, because I have a hard time imagining a person who's dumb enough to hold those opinions and yet smart enough to disseminate and monetize them effectively. I don't think psychics and televangelists believe their own nonsense either.

Yeah I thought it was an IP treaty. It's just wrapped in jobs jobs jobs labeling for domestic political reasons.

The good news is that the IP provisions have been suspended. They were the big thing that the USA wanted, so now that they're out that aspect got dropped.

The TPP looks a lot better now that the USA isn't forcing IP provisions. Hopefully, we can get it done and the US will be crawling back with the next administrations apology tour.

Wow, what an amazing insight, historically speaking sexual assault didn't exist, it's only since the post-modern era undermining the sanctity of marriage that it sprung into existence.

It's not really a scale. CK is also a horrible human being, but in a completely different way.

It doesn't really matter if he believes it, no matter how cynical or earnest his motivations the harm comes from legitimizing this idiocy by associating it with his academic credentials.

I can only assume that people who put a lot of weight on what professors say, outside their exact area of expertise (or sometimes within it), have never actually dealt with a professor.
