Is there some benefit to stretching out the heroic events? Cause I've had the opposite happen a couple times, where there's like 3 other level 20 players around, and we get to the heroic part and both tanks are still going until the last 30 seconds, and I have to personally use 3-4 of the cannons to get us there.

Better reward odds, so a better chance at exotics and legendaries.

Also, token wise, you get more and they count more towards weeklies.

Always aim for heroics.

Misread. No benefit to stretching them out, as far as I can tell.

No, there is no benefit. If anything you are getting your loot drop later.

There. Now I have at least one full set of 265 purple armor on all three classes…

This is the point where there is literally no way to progress your base power level except for Powerful engrams and fresh Exotic drops, right?

Though at the very least, I can maybe start thinking about what casual access outfits to chase, and fill out my purple guns collection. I do hope the expansion does include the mythical inventory space increase, even if I'm not really expecting such to ever happen any time soon. Entry level space barbies gives something fun to chase after on my own time that isn't ULTIMATE POWER.

It's hella rad that Bungie decided that shorter ability cooldowns were no fun and instead decided to make me, as a hunter player, selectively pick the armor that will let me not have to sit for 10 seconds after every fight waiting for my health to come back. It's especially cool how the stats are also obfuscated by not actually giving you any numerical values to see how much of a benefit each point of a stat gives.

Once you get a bunch of Powerful Engrams that push your average Light level up by themselves (ie getting a few 275s when you're 265), you'll actually start gaining a bit more levels as the slots that didn't get boosted by Powerful Engrams will start dropping slightly higher Light gear due to your higher Light average.

its probably been a few dozen public events since it wasn't just automatically heroic every time. pretty sure everyone has spent the 2 minutes necessary to look up how to do them by this point.

even when they weren't though I have solo heroic'd a walker event with multiple people trying to kill the drat spider tank so I dont know what that guy is talking about not having enough time to run the orbs with 1 person shooting it. you know there's a sprint button and you can jump and stuff right?

if this is a really big issue just dont let them have the scorch cannons, put 1 orb on each bubble before you open any of them.

What does it mean, what mechanic is it tracking? I thought vendor item levels (that you directly buy) were capped at 200 other than Xur, and that token engram levels were determined by your character's max possible power level?

so the cap for blues is 270 so you could conceivably find a set of purples you like and upgrade them to 270 with blues (just dismantle a few purples you dont like the effects on). So that should be your base light value. You'll pick up some exotics between 270-280 and there will be some purples that go up to 280 so that will help you get from 260 to 280

Its a system for people who are 300PL. So they don't waste their engrams on anything less than 300.

Looting the three weekly underbelly caches in the raid seems to have an extraordinarily high chance of dropping an exotic. I think everyone I've raided with the past two weeks has gotten one per run.

Probably grinding elite mob kills for xp and drops, scorch cannons basically mean infinite rocket launchers and the idiots just weren't paying attention to the walker. Or they figured you would do all the work if they noticed you soloing the last walker.

CLAN ADMINS - you can check on activity of current clan members using d2checklist.com, like this:
https://www.d2checklist.com/clan/2165309

"sign in" to that site and a "my clan" option will appear. Filtering by last activity, we can see that 8 members of SAND have not played destiny 2 in the past 12 days.

This may help manage clan membership rolls since there's a 100 player cap, and clans only really shine if the existing playerbase is active. It may also help merge clans down the line.

My solution to this so far has been to just make more clans. You really don't need to purge people.

BONGEE designed Clans to work both large and small. All you need to cap out your weekly Clan XP and engrams is a grand total of ~six people to complete a raid; after that it's just helpful to have more players to get it done faster.

Besides, it's annoying to put a game down for a few months and then come back to being Kicked.

The Destiny crowd don't seem very talkative when they actually can communicate.

I've played pick up groups since release. EU region. I have yet to hear anyone use the voice comms. I've seen someone type in chat twice. Everything should be enabled too.

By comparison, I couldn't play a loving match in Overwatch without someone yelling in my ears.

Well part of it is that there's honestly not much of a need to talk outside of the raids or PvP. The nightfalls really only rely on all three team members being competent. Aside from aligning supers during a prism week anyway. I know I tend to not use voice chat unless it's a situation that actually needs it just because I'm a little bit self-conscious about my voice.
