if times it right by the time he cashes out the first billion the remaining leftovers will be worth another billion due to the slow transaction speeds

I found a good article about bitcoin:

https://priceonomics.com/when-the-great-alpaca-bubble-burst/

Key points:

- goods being sold on the merit of them going up in value, rather than because of the innate usage as a good or innate earning power from their economic outputs,
- unrealistic expectations of return based on:
- Information coming nearly solely out of biased or industry controlled sources (in bitcoins case, people who already hold coins or the exchanges that "sell" them.

where you had a slip and revealed both that it has occurred to you that you fit the definition of a professional trader as you see it and that also that it appears ridiculous to you is where you already had a the relationship traded:trader::run:runner and then you immediately (in the same post where you first mentioned any of that) went back to it and added that were not however a professional runner. you drew a distinction while at the same time and ever since avoiding at great lengths making a simple statement as to whether or not you believe youre a professional trader

you are a step out from normal people but even you get when usage of a term is stretched ridiculously and hence should be able to that you look ridiculous calling people who buy bitcoin traders as though you dont understand the connotations of that term used in a serious capacity entailing more than looking at a number once a day and going "oh number go higher or go lower?"

alternatively put on your best red power tie and press buttons on the worlds biggest 80s cell phone or whatever you think traders do while you play pretend

I feel like this is a thing that shouldn't have to be said but investing in a something while its prices are skyrocketing to unheard of level is a bad idea. Especially when said product has no intrinsic value. Don't be a greedy idiot.

Keep in mind that you are essentially just gambling. If this is your life savings then jesus christ don't gamble with your life savings. If this is play money that you don't mind losing then think carefully about whether you are accurately assessing the risk vs reward

tethers always get produced in massive amounts when the BTC price is falling, and then a bunch of bitcoins get bought and the price stabilizes

but I'm sure that's all sheer coincidence and they definitely have the money to back this token that their web site says they are not legally required to back or redeem

$700 Million Stuck in 115,000 Unconfirmed Bitcoin Transactions

quote:

The cryptocurrency has seen better days, as according to Blockchain.info there are now 115,003 unconfirmed transactions, meaning the mempool has once again surpassed the 100 million byte mark – which hasn’t happened for nearly three months. According to tradeblock, these unconfirmed transactions amount to 110,611 BTC, worth over $700 million, weighting about 36 MB.

Whenever bitcoin’s mempool is filled with unconfirmed transactions, mining software picks the transactions that paid the highest fees. This means that users who want to send important Bitcoin transactions are currently advised to attach higher fees to them in order to get them through.

According to estimates, the fastest and cheapest transaction fee – at press time – would be of 480 satoshis/byte. Taking into account a median transaction size of 226 bytes, this would result in a 108,480 satoshi fee, equivalent to nearly $7. The higher the fee, the faster the transaction will go through.

There have only been 22 blocks found in the last 6 hours, there should have been 36.

they call 0.000000001 bitcoin a satoshi because it's a cult.

e: the difficulty just adjusted yesterday, so if the mining network is where it appears to be at, it will take nearly a full month of the network running half speed before a difficulty adjustment. that's a theoretical 3.5 transactions per second, realistic 2 transactions per second.

yeah you just wrote it because no reason. which is funny because you also later went on to describe how you would never see a need to tell anyone that obvious and superfluous information. and yet you did. and the only thing that could apparently draw it out was the context of the comparison you added it to. in a conversation where you were preoccupied with what literal definitions you think you fit

i really enjoyed your squirmy dance of insisting youre as much a trader as anyone and then despite all the same reasoning following that you should also consider yourself professional trader you finding that premise ridiculous... even though youre totally a real trader. and this whole conversation about your insistence to be acknowledged as a bonafide trader because of the online scams you have money in :discourse: sensational
