Dear OSHA thread, i'm fairly sure i committed a violation today. My drill is broken and i needed to poke holes in stuff.  It was fine once it got spinning. I'd be lying if i said i wouldn't do it again.

Yeah that was pretty wild. Dude was lucky that his trainer happened to be a Vietnam combat medic who came in and pinched his jugular shut. Major arterial bleeds will kill you faster and deaded than almost any other kind of injury. Watching the video, the hit occurs at 0:16 and Jim Pizzutelli sails in at 0:28 to heroically pinch off the artery (he kept holding it until medical personnel arrived). Overall, Malarchuk lost about 1.5 liters of blood, nearly half a gallon or about 30% of his total blood volume, most of it in those first 12 seconds. His trainer knew exactly what do it and reacted outstandingly fast. Amazing work.
