I don't have any scaly things or goblins but I do have a :glomp:

I was in the same boat a few years back. Moved 2600 miles away from every one and every thing for a job that I thought was gonna be a great jump off for my career only to get laid off 18 months later.

But it worked out. Just keep applying and looking. I am now in a great job, a lot closer to my people in a fun city. It'll be OK!
