No King Kong vs Godzilla which is in the most need of restoration, but still, yessss.

I don't think King Kong vs CAN be restored that well at this point.

The original KKvG is a rights nightmare that neither Toho nor Universal seems interested in resolving, unfortunately.

Fortunately, the U-I cut is still actually really dope and the blu-ray they released a couple years ago with King Kong Escapes looks beautiful.

It always warms my heart to know that Godzilla is not only a (theoretically) terrifying hell-beast of cinema, but a universally beloved pop culture celebrity.

I fondly remember getting IP banned from that site back in 2013 or 2014 for pointing out that it functioned mostly as a bullshit rumor mill that got clicks for aggregating other news via gaming the search engine optimization system. Good times. Maybe it's a bit more respectable now.

That's really exciting stuff with Criterion giving them a good work over. I recently watched Kong: Skull Island and I was astounded by how boring a movie it was. With that cast, and the setting, and Kong and just wow you could not be bothered to care about anyone or anything happening. The whole film just felt flat and dull and ugh. Legendary Big G gonna mop the floor with that Kong, they are gonna need another kaiju for them to inevitably team up against or that poo poo lasts maybe 1 scene.

Full grown will just mean bigger I don't see how that ends well for Kong given Big G literally atomic breathed one of the Mutos into a smokey pile (which was def one of the best scenes in that film).

Kong will be much much faster and more agile than G. Smarter too. The MUTO fights were pretty much sumo shoving matches, Kong can punch OH GOD I'M AN ADULT I HAVE TO STOP NOW.

It's fun watching how many actors were in both the original Gojira as well as the Seven Samurai. It's too bad that Kurosawa never directed a Godzilla film
