Xbox games were also backwards compatible on the Xbox 360 but on the First Xbox (they called the fourth xbox the xbox one x lmao good ram) there was no 'your internet is lovely' messaging so they used "generic error" which translates to how you used to fix broken games on consoles, by blowing in the cartridge.

But Amazon Streaming isn't going to profit off either. Sounds more like an "ISP not upgrading their peering links" situation.

What does this mean? As far as I can tell, the Xbone has been a total failure... this is coming from a guy who has the Day One (TM) version and now The Scorpio (TM) version... I'm a sucker for limited edition systems it seems...

Will the boneX be able to do VR? Or is it in the works? I’m still hoping to one day play VR elite dangerous. I hear it is something else entirely. The battlefront II single player seems good enough to purchase the game when it’s like $30 and sell it back right after beating it. I’m not much of a sperg about games controversy but I must say that all the negative press surrounding the loot boxes is right and I’m glad they are effectively being punished by consumers for building a really bad pricing and progression model. I couldn’t support buying the game at full price at this point.

Xbox said a few months ago they are not currently making any vr but you can do the worthless theater mode by hooking up your xbox to your oculus enabled pc. Based on statements, ms seems intent on racing to compete in the stand alone vr/ar headset market that apple/google are also vying for and sees sonys dominance of gaming vr as small potatoes, or at least not worth paying to challenge.

VR will always be trash on consoles, since it needs 2x the power to run the same game, PC will probs be where it's always at. TBH i'm looking forward to when whoever releases a decent AR headset to play boardgames with fog of war and the elimination of setting up the board and all the pieces, poo poo even might try a AR d&d campaign

I'm happy with my Xbox One X. Been replaying GTA V. I do think GTA V looks better on my PC gaming setup (1440p G-Sync monitor & GTX 1080 GPU). I guess frame rates are a little more important for me personally than the extra resolution. HOWEVER, the X paired with a 4K HDR TV is close enough. I am thoroughly enjoying replaying this game sitting back in my recliner. It looks pretty drat good. No regerts.

I was really quite surprised to see that GTAV was not on the list of enhanced games. Then I remembered Rockstar is probably too busy pimping shark cards to bother. To be honest I would pay money if they brought some of the MP vehicles to SP. So many badass planes I will never get to dick around in.

Just had the most clutch Siege moment of my life and tried to capture the video for the first time, but it only recorded the last 30 seconds because it was set to 4k, and then it had to reduce it to 1080p to upload it. For a 900p game. Pretty dumb.

I think Uncharted 2 and 3 are actually pretty great games, even if 3 is just a bunch of random setpieces stitched together. Uncharted 2 I'll defend as one of the best 3rd person action games in history.

Uncharted 1 actually has what could be considered gameplay so it's not comparable at all. Quantum Break is nothing but the worst vices of AAA action games from last gen: plenty of cutscenes and an awful lot of scripted slow walking sequences with maybe a handful of combat areas per level to make sure you didn't fall asleep. And that's not counting the 30 minute TV show episodes. I guess for u$20 it's worth checking out, but you could spend those 6 hours on better things/games instead of another failed cinematic experience from the video game industry.

Or just get Max Payne on PC instead since it runs on a toaster and the Xbox port is from the era when games would get their levels chopped up or have entire areas removed due to hardware constraints.
