Yup those I know of too. I think that one you link wants to be more like the evie blender. Its hard to make any recommendations about china products though. Yes to both. I buy a ton of make up and brushes on AliExpress and I've never had an issue. Whatever you buy in the regular store is most likely made in China, and even if it's not the reality of global supply chains and purchasing and lax testing in the end really doesn't make much of a difference anyway as far as "oops I got uranium on my face" concerns go. While make up stuff wasn't my field of study, I did a lot of research on other areas of industrial regulation (within the EU at least) and it boils down to there are theoretically lots of rules and regulations to prevent anything that could cause harm from ending up on or in the consumer, the fact that (a) the sheer volume of the importation of both finished goods AND raw materials is just waaaaay too high to check even a fraction of a percentage and (b) the government has to pay for people to check this stuff, and they don't really want to flesh out that budget item when in times of austerity when police, teachers, and other essential services are already on the chopping block. I'm not saying there's any sort of guarantee that your makeup isn't adulterated, but you have just as good odds getting something from a retailer within your own country. So of all the stuff to worry about, whether or not your cheap makeup and makeup accessories has too much lead or ground up beetles in it shouldn't be high on your list. Honestly I'd be more worried about someone with super SARS coming from a flight from Beijing or your municipality no longer being able to afford someone to check to see that your drinking water isn't contaminated with lead.
