At my old job the branch manager had "Be sure to thank your employees daily" on his dry erase board. I altered "thank" to "spank" and promptly forget about it. A month later he noticed it and had the lower management team review the cameras to try to find the perpetrator. I think they burned about 4 hours on it. I'd do it again.

Yeah, "Air Force" + "annoyed and frightened [and quite a few rich] white people complained." Seriously, people thought ~9/11~ was happening again because their precious NorCal quietude was disturbed.

Today at work has been a big session of "reminisce about all the ways you've drawn dicks in a plane before". In the E-2 it usually revolves around what you plot on the scope; so for example, if you have a specific contact of interest but are also really bored, you slave some circles and ovals to the track so everyone gets to watch a dick flying around on the screen.

My favorite lighter moment from cruise was when I was on the platform with my buddy for a recovery. We'd just done a joint exercise with the UK, and looked off into the distance to see the RN guys trace a beautiful one in the sky over the North Sea.

Didn't work. Apparently they met the air boss down in San Diego today. FNAEB alread meeting. Whidbey's public affairs people should have released a statement saying "We'll look into it" that day, and that was it. This would've been forgotten if the US loving Navy hadn't promised blood at the earliest opportunity. Pointy nosed jets pop supersonic accidentally several times per year, nobody bats an eye more than 24 hours later. This would've been the same. But...they drew attention to it. Made it a big deal. Now the reputation of naval aviation is on the line, and these two glorious idiots are going to be sacrificed. Godholio fucked around with this message at 05:59 on Nov 21, 2017 |

My first squadron CO put someone in the healing chair because he blew out a sinus flying on a down chit. After two weeks he was absolutely crushed ( we were flying long days doing OEF missions, like long as in one of our jets recovering at 0300 and poo poo like that). CO relented and changed it to every other day until dude was med up.
