2007 Oregon would've played for the title had Dixon not gotten hurt.

But I'm splitting hairs. Kelly would be a fine hire for Florida.

He was the OC in 2007 and probably the biggest reason Dixon blew up and became a Heisman candidate out of nowhere. They turned into what we think of as Oregon football almost overnight when he got there.

e: Dixon pre-Kelly was splitting time with Brady Leaf lol

That was incredibly his first season as OC at the FBS level.

There's a reason he went from OC to HC almost immediately.

E: Sorry, that was his first year as any kind of coach at the FBS level.

I was originally skeptical of the hire but I've come around on it. Nebraska will be paying Bo, Eichorst, Riley, and Frost so hopefully that will buy him some time. I hope he can just keep the team on the rails in 2018 because the schedule is rough.

Edit: I also don't know who Lars Anderson is and I won't believe that Scott Frost is the coach of the Huskers until I see him running onto TOM OSBORNE FIELD to Alan Parsons Project.

Thats the same stuff going on in the Florida coaching search; tons of small time Twitter dudes posting unsubstantiated poo poo to get buzz and pick up followers. According to twitter, Chip Kelly was going to get announced at a press conference as head coach every day last week.

He will never coach there again. They still owe him money and he may still have pending litigation about that. Y'all's admin/boosters kicking him out over Craig James of all people is still the best. Morons.

Oh yeah, no doubt. Every fan/alum I know still loves him and I root for him to do well at WSU, but I fully know he'll never come back, and I don't blame him one bit.

It was hilarious when Craig James tried to become a senator though, I remember he was begging for money after his campaign crashed and burned so easily.

Pewter Report’s Scott Reynolds believes there’s "interest on both sides" between the Bucs and Jon Gruden.

Gruden has been out of the league since getting fired from Tampa in 2008. He’s turned down multiple offers from teams, but hasn’t ruled out a return to coaching. With Dirk Koetter on the hot seat, it’s possible the Bucs reunite with Gruden after the season. Tampa has a franchise quarterback in Jameis Winston and a playoff-caliber roster. There’s behind-the-scenes rumors the Bucs are the job Gruden wants.
