For Vader, yes, but it's kind of a triumphant note for Palpatine as far as we see.

George Lucas jokingly named him after Conan O'Brien during a Late Night interview and it became canon because Lucasfilm continuity guru Leland Chee owns. Same reason Obi-Wan is canonically from the planet Stewjon as the result of a Jon Stewart interview.

I like that read.

Remember that time Han Solo cornered her in a closet, disregarded her bodily pushing him away from her, ignored her verbal refusals, and then proceeded to physically and emotionally overpower until she gave into him? It's okay though because Han knew Leia was just playing hard to get (and that's canon!).

I like the reading that Palpatine at that moment is still Henry III post-coronation, though. He is getting his doomsday device built, sure. But it was only really fun using those on the Jedi. If the Rebellion hadn't taken off the way it did, I imagine Sheev would still be sitting in his big chair sadly mumbling "Unlimited powah..." to his two creepy consultants as he presses a button to annihilate another planet full of enemies.

Galactic Standard Calendar has a 5 day week, 7 week/35 day months, and 10 month + 3 festival weeks + 3 holidays (368 day) years.

Days of the week are Primeday, Centaxday, Taungsday, Zhellday, and Benduday.

(Note; this is all Legends)

Novelizations are canonical only where they agree with the films. Anything not on screen is Legends.
