Ok, some do, but using it is a huge penalty, namely back of the field.

As a pedestrian and driver bikes are never the problem, at worst they're an annoyance and mostly that's just homeless people who always ride on the sidewalk or randomly dart out into traffic no matter what even if there's a fully protected bike lane right next to them.

As a pedestrian that couldn't be further from the truth - the real problem is the lycra brigade who insist on riding too fast for conditions, especially on shared bike/pedestrian paths.

It's like they think the 'pedestrians have right of way' signs only apply to other cyclists.

Well back of the "field" of ~4 cars doesn't sound like much of a penalty :v:

I assume most teams will 24/7 dogpile mechanics on their wrecked cars to get them back in racing trim, but drat.

For a game like PUBG that very well might be true, big-name streamers getting into games definitely skyrockets their sales and player base.

I'm pretty sure there's far too many drivers who just genuinely attempt to murder cyclists when the opportunity comes up for the crime of not being in a car. I recall reading about a road rage case in the USA where a driver literally shot a cyclist in the head.

Well, yes. But the funny part is them threatening a AAA developer to do so. "Don't change this character or I'll go play a different game!" when said guy is just streaming himself talking poo poo about the game anyway, which in turn makes all of his fans just copy+paste his opinions. Or like when destiny 2 didn't allow streaming overlays they got mad and threatened to not play destiny 2. But who cares? Destiny streamers are garbage and the game would be better without them.

There's a bunch of copies of this all over youtube but they all seem to be the same 22 seconds of footage as was shown in the gif.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO_FOdRBQEw

Many of the videos have comments saying that the car crossed the double yellow lines into the bike's lane which sparked the incident.

Edit: here's an interview with the guy who shot the footage

quote:

Now, the man who videotaped the automotive spectacle is speaking out about who appeared to be at fault.

In an interview with The Times on Friday, Chris Traber, 47, of Santa Clarita, said both men appeared to play a role in the harrowing incident.

It was about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday when Traber was in the passenger seat of his coworker’s car as they drove to work at a utility company in Burbank. They were headed southbound on the 14 Freeway, and driving in the No. 1 lane, when the man on a Harley Davidson-type motorcycle passed them on the left, riding close to the double-yellow lines that separate the general traffic lanes from the HOV lanes.

About 150 feet ahead was a Nissan sedan driving in the HOV lane, Traber said. Just as the motorcyclist was passing the sedan on the right-hand side, the sedan tried to exit the carpool lane and enter the No. 1 lane. That’s when the car bumped the bike.

“I’m sure he didn’t see the motorcyclist,” Traber said of the driver. “He scared the living daylights out of the motorcyclist. He almost went down. That guy can really handle his bike.”

Traber said that after the motorcyclist regained control, he pulled up to the car’s passenger door and began gesturing at the driver. Traber said he appeared to be saying something too, but Traber couldn’t hear him. He said he figured the biker was “saying something like, hey, you almost hit me! Watch out!”

Traber said it looked as though the driver was yelling something back at the biker, and that it didn’t help matters, because that’s when the motorcyclist started kicking the passenger door.
