I hope this doesn't come off as condescending, but you should really listen to Pastime Paradise by Stevie Wonder if you haven't heard of it before. I only listen to specific kinds of music when I'm doing a short, or writing for one, as that is pretty much how I write/create things. I make a playlist of scores and songs that fit the tone and feel, and listen to them over and over until the scene/piece makes sense in my head. Im into this kind of music now, whatever it's called. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_426RiwST8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz3OIGxazzU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7YM9gAVeMs a lot of "Ohhh oh ohhhh!" stuff. It fits this tone perfectly but it's hard to find because I don't know what kind of music that is, other than music where people say "ohhh"

It kind of depresses me that I used to listen to so much music and it used to be such a huge part of my life and these days I rarely discover anything new I like, and the rare thing I find that I do like usually is at least slightly to lame in some way for me to really wanna talk about it.

His least favorite thing about rap is that there are words, I don't think Tribe Called Quest is going to sway his opinion. And Celtic Predator, have you listened to Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve, because I bet you would love it. And if you haven't heard it before the best way to listen to it is to watch the movie Cruel Intentions.

Like if you're gonna steal a sample, especially from a more obscure song, don't ask first! You can steal or ask, Not both.

What’s some good melancholy hip hop? I like those rainy day chillwave compilations because the beats are sort of fuzzy and depressing, is there any proper hip hop that’s like that? I’ve always preferred more downbeat stuff and every time I ask people for rap recs I get club music.X-Ray Pecs posted:This is me but with discovering industrial and industrial metal last year, but I'm a loving massive dork so I talk about it even though it's lame and outdated as poo poo.
