the 50x1 sounded better than I expected it to. I kinda love those lovely cheap amps. I have a Surf Green Danelectro 1 watt battery amp. It's pretty snazzy imo. It's even got a belt clip on it.

Normally I'd assume they're for splitting the bottom three strings out to an octaver and bass amp to replace the bass player in two piece band, which is how it usually goes, but there's no stereo out to split them. Looking at that wiring scheme I think they're for adding more high string or low string emphasis to the bridge pickup. The diagram is terrible but as far as I can tell the main switch selects between bridge/both/neck and the second switches between high/both/low, so if you leave it in the middle the two neck pickups act like a parallel humbucker. I've absolutely no idea why you'd use that or do the mods to a vintage Fender (even if it's only a Bronco) though.

If you're one of those people who only ever uses the bridge pickup I could see having goofy neck pickups just as a visual gimmick.
