Starting to work out why it was basically "write your own bet" for Samoa to win.

Beginning to think my bet on an Australia win 31-40 margin was wildly optimistic

What the gently caress?

The one thing I took from NZ run in the world cup is that Joe Tapine belongs on the edge for Canberra. He is a backrower

Absolutely hilarious match. Nicely played Fiji

I love the Fein Rule. Silver lining: Surely Kidwell is gone.

Yep, Kidwell getting the sack is the only possible silver lining. To some extent, I feel for the guy. He was clearly out of his depth, and it was utter stupidity to appoint him as the head coach of the national side when he had no experience as a head coach at any level. It was always going to end in disaster, but I guess no one expected it to be this soon. Guys like Shaun Johnson and Simon Mannering deserve better than this poo poo, frankly.

Mitchell Pearce has been released, looks to be off to Manly who have released Blake Green (presumably to the Warriors).

Smorgasbord posted:Manly who have released Blake Green (presumably to the Warriors). 3-year deal, according to the Herald. It would be nice if they spent some money on signing some loving forwards for a change, but gently caress that poo poo, right? Stack the backline, who gives a gently caress about the guys up front.

All the Easts players that migrated to Newcastle have been in Pierce's ear so maybe we are in for a chance

Vagabundo posted:3-year deal, according to the Herald. I think you're forgetting our marquee signing fresh out of a wonderful Kiwis campaign, NZ captain Adam Blair... I think there's a lack of quality forwards available though, pleased we got Tohu Harris, and Leivaha Pulu has showed some promise. We also followed our tradition of buying back our own juniors back in Agnatius Paasi and Matiu Love-Henry.

Smorgasbord posted:Apart from a couple of games this World Cup has been an absolute snoozefest Yeah, it's been one way traffic almost the whole way. IMO they should split the Kangaroos into NSW & Qld to bring down their power level and stick them at opposite ends of the bracket. You could have some allocation for Australian players from neither of those states to play for either side aswell.
