Dangit, I just read the new release notes and they're fixing the thing where temporary protection becomes permanent between stages of GW. Fulcrum was the only reason I could ever make it through the final node anymore.

They cannot keep adding new content/features/CHORES without making previous ones easier, less important or faster to do. It is good that GW will be easier (is this official or just beta hearsay from testers?) since that means it will be faster to do. Territory Wars looks like they could take a while, it looks like you need to do 15 battles per stage? Hoping that GW will be auto-able, i am about to spend my first zeta on Finn but will hold off for a little while longer.

That's great once I hit 85, but right now at 79 I have to fight squads 6 levels above me with skills I don't have access to since some genius decided to make level 78 abilities require mats that you can't reliably get until 80.

Plus Chaze were brokenly OP for ages and they never got a nerf, not to my knowledge anyway. The only reason they're not as broken now is a lot of other folk came in/ got more powerful.

The cookie cutter resistance team of zfinn, rt, rp, rey, poe is great and can do cool things. Add in R2 and you get some cool utility and cover some of their weaknesses. Add BB8 and they become literal hAAT winners and GW is the biggest joke.

I should have done this ages ago, but is there an open goon guild? Also, Thrawn is coming up again, and I have him at 4*, but while I could get to the boss stage, I would always die as soon as the round started as the Death Troopers and Thrawn always went first, and did so much damage nothing on my team survived. I had good luck with Phoenix Squadron with Hera, Zeb, Ezra, Kanaan and Chopper so far, but my poo poo still gets wrecked. Looking back at the talk about older stuff not being rebalanced, I cannot believe the the difficulty level jump between the 3rd last and 2nd last heist and training droid events. I can walk though 3rd tier, but 2nd last I'm lucky if fett is alone in the red when I'm done.

Thanks! Will Zeta Finn then! Rey, Poe, R2 are at 7*, and my FO squad is soon at 7* as well so hopefully BB8 comes around soon. Only RPilot is low star but that will be remedied as soon as Phasma is 7*'d. I also have saved 25k arena tokens and 10k Cantina credits so hopefully Veteran Han and Chewie comes to those stores, and i might be able to get "Jedi" Rey when that event arrives.

I have a lot of Zetas that I need to spend. For zFinn to work what gear levels do I need on my resistance people? All are 7* except BB-8. Also, do I need all omegas that up the expose chance? Trying to get a feel for what kind of investment I need.

Poe: You really want Resistance Bravado. More expose is great, but Buff Immunity will neuter a tank. Trooper: Flush Out, Opportune Strike. Focus Flush Out; Opportune Strike is great but you won't be using it that often. Pilot: Outmaneuver. Rey: All optional. R2: You want all of his omegas, but Smoke Screen and Electroshock Prod are more important. If you're thinking of dropping a zeta, get Number Crunch first. The first one I'd get is Poe's Resistance Bravado. Applying 5 exposes is the dream scenario and is the ideal setup move. After that, focus the other +% expose chance ones (I'd say Takedown on Finn first), and then utility after that, and then finally straight damage buffs. For that reason, Rey should be the last person to whom you hand out omegas. The whole thing runs on exposing and popping exposes, so you really want to be dropping exposes as soon as you can. Under perfect conditions, the opposing team is fully stunned (via Finn and R2) and won't get a turn. Some other important things: You want a bunch of speed on Poe so he goes first, and then ideally R2 goes second. I like to open with Poe -> Resistance Bravado, followed by R2 -> Smoke Screen, and then go from there. That setup will lower TM on the entire opposing team, hopefully apply buff immunity to their tank, and then everyone's stealthed so you can hit those counterattackers easily (e.g. if they use CLS lead or something).
