Dolphin'd a bit. Got Jeanne from the paid roll, which I'm good with. Rest of my rolls got me a d'Eon, 2 Medea Lilys, a Herc dupe  , a Marie dupe, 2030 x2, Knight's Dignity x3, another Kaleidoscope, and then finally Scathach on the last drat roll of my last 10-roll.

Can this game actually sate Type/Moon VN itch story/presentation-wise? Been playing the partial translation of Witch on the Holy Night and the combat "cinematics" in that thing are incredible. Whatever those arcane bullets/explosions are, they're extremely my poo poo. From what incredibly short amount I've played - since I'm not really into mobage stuff, I don't see how the story could get "personal" and the audiovisuals are kinda bland in cutscenes. Almost sorry for not asking stuff about actual gameplay mechanics so: Do I have to grind/put money into the game to actually experience said story? I'm okay with reasonable amount but could care less about micromanaging a waifu collection for w/e meta stats. Probably means the game isn't for me.  There she is, along with a couple of Medea Lilies, my third?? Jeanne, and two 2030s along the way. That basically burns through most of my reserves but hey there was a reason I was saving up for this month in the first place. Should be enough time to build it back up by the time April rolls around.

Asked this on discord, got some mixed responses ... i think. (notice: started playing recently in the last weeks) So i bought that first bag from the even which gave me 20k friends points ...wondering if i should just use them on the FP gacha or do they have a use for something else? Someone said people were hoarding them for some 'special' servant that isn't out yet or that i could "use them to roll 3* event CE". I assume this means rolling them during stuff like Guda ...or wait for another 'good' future event?

Any event where you're not rolling the quartz gatcha and you're not planning to spend apples, you can get five copies of the 3* event CE from the FP gatcha and that'll help with farming. You can also save for new 3* servant releases to get them sooner. That said, if you don't already have all 1-3*s that you're vaguely interested in at at least NP3 or so you should spend all your FP now; getting those sooner is too useful to put off.

Looks like my bad luck is back in full swing. The paid gacha seemed hesitant, dropping tons of 3* garbage before finally dropping... Okita #2  I also ended up getting a second Tamamo Cat so that's nice. Nothing new at all out of it though which is amazingly frustrating considering I only have 2/9 that were available. Roommate got Tamamo and I was a bit jealous.Then the Scathach gacha doubled down on Black Keys and Shinjis before giving me a Diarmuid and calling it quits. Yikes. Also finished the D'eon interlude, which was the biggest load of crap ever with its 900k HP damage sponge of a "boss". It being an assassin class did no favors either since it just meant it was shooting its pseudo-phantasm at me every 3 turns.

NP2 is not bad for Drake or Okita, it's the greatest step increase in power. Way better than NP2 for a support character like Jeanne, Tamamo, or Waver.

Got an Orion from paid gacha. Not what I was hoping for, but I can't really complain. I was hoping for a good caster or saber - D'eon is good at some things, but waveclear is not one of them. Got a Scathach and a 2030 eventually for 300 SQ and >60 tickets. I guess I am going to be satisfied with that, and save the rest of my SQ for ... probably J'Alter.

More heal on overcharge ain't bad for me. I never knew Lancelot had an attack up on his NP until now. All the times I've used it before it never showed up unless I'm super duper blind. It makes him really deadly now and my go to for hand farming.

To chime in: prior to the London chapter, the story is fairly basic because the game was just meant to be kind of a spinoff. Due to how successful it became, though, by the time the Camelot chapter rolls around, the game is more or less on par with other Type Moon works in terms of impact and interesting story. And you don't need to spend a cent to see it - if you just want to see the story of the singularities, it's very possible to be F2P. Epic of Remnant's third chapter, Shimosa, is the first to feel a bit non-F2P friendly, but for NA players that's straight up two years away still. Scathach’s animations are so satisfying to watch, especially her Buster cards. I kind of feel like grailing her but there are some 4* servants I’d really like to grail when/if I get them, like Ruler Martha, so I don’t think I can afford that.

Alright guys, until Friday when I get paid again I'm done with the gacha. After getting Scathach in my first 10 roll with my saved up quartz, I decided "eh gently caress it, I had $400 stored away specifically for spending on Servants I really liked, so gently caress it, let's try to get Fragments of 2030." I stopped before I hit $200, because a wave of self awareness hit me like a freight train and I couldn't justify spending more money for a single card (at least until Friday). Here are my results: NP2 Scathach NP5 Medea Lily and an extra one I burned NP2 Carmilla, both in the same set of rolls NP3 Lancelot NP5 all the new 3* Servants A 2nd Formalcraft and Kaleidoscope A poo poo ton of Boars and Knights. NOT A SINGLE FRAGMENTS OF 2030. I'm not complaining, because my rolls were good, but how is it that I can get 9 4* and 2 5* Servants, both of which have lower rates than a 5* CE, but not a single Fragments??? I don't even plan to limit break it, I just wanted 1.
