The major problem with 3.0 is the same as the issues with every other patch they've made, it contains far too much Chris Roberts. When you have one of them in your code it creates multiple dependancies (sandis, bens, and hobos) and far too many fidelities for the engine to properly handle. The only way to fix these bugs is to remove the Chris Roberts and to starve out it's dependancies. Microsoft already did this nearly 20 years ago on a project that had a huge Chris Roberts infection and they showed that if you remove the Chris Roberts it lowers the fidelities, conflicts, and fiscal outgoings and increases the gameplays significantly while upping the frames, contents, and funs. It has also been shown following a successful removal that coders and artists stress also lowers massively and they no longer flinch and twitch in fear when ever someone walks past them in a black turtleneck. Basically in any code, if you suspect you have accidentaly introduced a Chris Roberts then the best course of action is to immediately locate, quarantine and flush it from the system completely. If you leave it in the system for too long it will hog more and more resources while exponentially increasing unneeded fidels and eventually render your code disfunctional to the point where your system fails and all your resources are cached in the Caymans.

Spiderdrake posted:That delusion is whatever vicious mechanics won't apply to them, the princes of the cult, who will be able to glide through the verse and inflict those punishments on the scummy 'criminals'. The whales don't want the penalty mechanics for them. The whales want the penalty mechanics for the filthy poors they're going to lord it over on release. There's always been a juuuust-stated implication that the full verse will be full of peons to beat aside with your riding-crop or enslave to man your turrets and scrub your hot tub. That's the just fate of all the faithless masses who didn't back early but will buy in when they see the divine glory of Star Citizen when it finally hits the high street. CRoberts sold it free with every early starter package, every big ship...he sold it again with the Pioneer with "orgs will seek you out if you own one of these". Buy more ships or it might be you too! We're part of this, you know. Those penalty mechanics are their punishment fantasy for filthy pirates and goons who try to shoot them down (but of course fail in the face of their righteousness). And it will never, ever make it into the 'verse, because nobody in their right mind would buy a game on release just to be targets in a shooting gallery (or worse, armless prisoners in a crate). The cult hasn't worked that out yet. Loxbourne fucked around with this message at 13:48 on Nov 25, 2017 |

"Are [insert bad guys] threatening [thing you care about]? Take back [object] with the [over priced jpeg]!" e; Or, because of the clunky way they need to name ships...
