CIG can't get more than 24 players to occupy an entire solar system but they're going to let players claim and build poo poo on planets that can simultaneously hold thousands of people. In a game supposedly about space ships. I mean gently caress it, at this point you either have enough of a brain to know that this is a giant scam from a company that has neither the competence nor the vision to successfully implement what they're selling or you're a lost cause who exists to serve as a beacon of schadenfreude and fremdschämen.

We're at around $3.5 million after about 4 days. With about 5 left to go, plus the usual week after where poors can contact CS with excuses of why they couldn't get the money ready in time to buy their dreams, can they manage their regular $36 million a year? Will Coutts get paid? Could the next holiday stream possibly be as broken as last year?

I wonder what else could be left in their bag of tricks? - Selling indulgences (pay cash to clear criminal status)? - Selling licenses to star systems? So far they haven't really broken new ground in whalemilking technology, they have just done it on an unprecedented scale. I will be truly impressed when they figure out some way to get money that no game has attempted before.

They should start selling all the asteroids too, that way people can pre-buy whole asteroid fields. New players joining in when mining in 4.0 is launched, will be met with "sorry this asteroid has been claimed and can't be mined" messages throughout the verse. Otherwise it's gonna be pets. Definitely pets or slaves next.
