I've missed out on watching Stardom all fall because I simply ran out of time so I've been catching up. All the new gaijin look like they've never had to brawl a day in their life and it shows in their work. Scarlett, particularly, doesn't seem to know how to properly hurt people. Kelly Klein needs to stick to powerbombs and lariats. She does those really well. other stuff...not so much. A lot prettier than her promo pics let on. Sumire Natsu(the new Oedo Tai lady) really wants you to look at her crotch. Not much going on there otherwise. Bea Priestley is a hot tiny monster. I wanna see her gently caress up more people.

Yeah, Oedo Tai are probably my favorite thing in wrestling now but Sumire Natsu's not really doing anything for me as a member. Assuming they keep her on, I hope they at least tone down the "Hana and Tam are grumpy about the new sexy member" bit by the time Tam's wrestling again because Oedo Tai are awesome as a tightly-knit family of malcontents against the entire rest of the promotion.

I really like the Natsu angle, personally. Tam's disappointed annoyance, Hana's barely-contained mean-girl anger, it's just the perfect amount of camp for OT. Hopefully it runs for another month or two, ends up with a Hana/Natsu match and then she's out. I definitely don't care for Natsu as a long term character. Its something fun for them to do for a bit while Io gets her run and Mayu heals up. e: oh they have a new shirt on this QQ vs OT match with the five of them, welp Go RV! fucked around with this message at 03:42 on Dec 1, 2017 |

Yeah, I guess reading it written out like that, that's closer to how I feel about the angle, too. It's also a way for them to have a fourth for eight-woman matches while Tam recovers. I've seen Sumire outside of Stardom and thought she was alright but yeah, I don't really buy her as anything but short-term for OT. e: oh whoops. lol I was in the room for that match but forgot about the shirt. To be fair I'm not sure whether they're actually selling it (yet) or not. Johnny Landmine fucked around with this message at 03:48 on Dec 1, 2017 |

Just got announced at the RISE show in LA that Stardom is partnering with the promotion to have RISE send several wrestlers to them for their July Korakuen Hall show: Shotzi Blackheart, Kikyo, Kylie Rae, Angel Dust and Delilah Doom. Not sure if they’re staying for longer, or if it’s just for the one show.

Stardom always does really well with their imports so at least one of those are going to probably become the next big thing.

Every time I see Stardom lose someone and think "Well this is it, they're not going to bounce back from this" they always do. Yup. Although to be fair, I think the biggest name they could possibly lose in the future is Io Shirai. I don't think another company will sign her (WWE passed on her, TNA can't afford her, Lucha Underground probably wouldn't keep her around for more than a season, and ROH's Women's Division is a massive joke), but rather her retiring. I remember seeing an interview where she pretty much said the moment she finds someone that she loves and wants to marry is the day she'll retire. I feel like if I had to list who I feel will carry STARDOM into the future, it would be (no particular order): Kagetsu Mayu Hana (although I also think its likely that within the next few years, WWE will probably sign her)

There is definitely personal bias here; I love how she's been booked and she's awesome to watch in the ring when she can just let loose with the flippy-doo. Kagetsu is awesome and would be a great choice as well.

Rossy doing her a solid and gifting her a Korakuen win was kinda cool except she did nothing in the fan's eyes to earn that spot. She should do a year in that dojo tho.

She needs to drop the Jungle Jungle gimmick to take a top spot though. Having a deeply embarrassing character is fine as a midcard goofy thing, but isn't singles champion material. I feel like they're positioning HZK to take over for Io directly but I don't see it. She's fine, but I don't remember ever being really impressed by her. I'm really excited to see AZM and Kid 5 years down the road though.

This is a real shame. Lufisto has had a career year for me in terms of avoiding injuries up to this point, being reinvigorated by tagging with Jordynne Grace and putting on some of her better matches. https://twitter.com/LuFisto/status/938984078451380225
