I didn't realize you could lock the pilot to his position. I do that every time before a mission starts now because I finished one of the main missions, was over England and just RTBing to end the mission. One of my fuel tanks needed repairs otherwise I'd have run out of fuel, so I send my flight engineer to go fix it. Guess who was accidentally clicked and sent out to fix the tank?

I haven't played the previous 5 games but the new Forza is a lot of fun and looks great on my Xbonx. My hands hurt because I grip the controller too tightly when racing but I must have gotten 5 hours straight out of the game before I had to take a break.

Just beat Shogo: Mobile Armor Division. The ending cutscene was amazing, and the idiot in the brown mech who constantly challenged you to combat and the other idiot in the blue mech with the 300 foot gun were anime as hell.

Maybe I’m just bad at vehicle ID but I’m replaying MGS V and I swear that the armored vehicle in the intro looks a lot like a MGS Stryker which doesn’t make any sense. The guard rails on the sides of the front slope, side view mirrors, eight wheels, and the storage compartment for snow chains between the second and third tires looks pretty similar to a Stryker.

It does seem pretty out of place. The MOWAG Piranha that the Stryker is based on has been around since the early '70s, though, so it's not too much of a stretch.

I was thinking it might be one of those as well but after looking them up it has way more in common with an MGS, just the turret is a bit off and the rear is as well. I think someone was definitely looking at a Stryker when they modeled it.

Any recent news about Far Cry 5? Read somewhere that Far Cry 4 & Far Cry Primal have the same terrain map. Have to admit, Far Cry 5 that's set in the badlands of Montana re-reusing that terrain map for the 3rd time would be funny though. Thinking about playing the Half Life 1 reboot Black Mesa, an older strategy game series like Age of Wonders, or maybe Geneforge 2 next. Black Mesa reboot game has more content coming out, never finished all the Age of Wonders games, and Geneforge 1 was really fun playing as a "Minions are expendable bullets to shoot at enemies" summoner rear end in a top hat.

Black Mesa is really, really good, but it's quite a bit harder than the original. Some of the set pieces have been altered slightly so it's not a straight 1:1 recreation, and the helicopter boss fights are significantly more difficult since you can't just gauss them in one shot.

All I remember from Half Life 1 is the long tram ride opening, the special forces ambush when reaching the surface, and the Xen chapter entirely sucking. The December update for Black Mesa supposedly will have major graphic upgrades/game engine overhaul + Xen chapter, devs were smart enough to avoid a hard publish date. Stopped progress in Jagged Alliance because I've been trying out new starting teams. Somehow forgot to hire a Medicine specialist last try, fixing wounds with a toolkit would have been so Commando the Movie, or RoboCop.

Primal was also really god drat fun, sneaking around a camp with a panther buddy and beaning cavechumps in the dome with a rock and sling was a hoot as was having your owl buddy drop balls of bees on folks
