I am an old, I have been gaming for around thirty years acoss all platforms. And I have to say that Dark Souls is the first game in decades that brought back the magic for me. I remember renting nes titles from the video store and having no Idea what was going on, but never sure what would or could happen, there were no rules and it was kinda magical, all the kids had all sorts of school ground lore. Same with dark souls, there was this massive world with a lot of lore but you have to figure it out, hell, you dont even know what most items do at the start. It gave me warm happy fuzzies.

Lmao if you don't have a PC, a screen mirror, and a wireless usb controller so you can switch based on preference and where you're playing. It's the end of 2017 ffs. Sure, you miss out on a handful of console exclusives, but it's the best possible overall gaming experience you can have.

I got hte xcom 2 xpac. I'm willing to make a starter team for the first four people who want one. I was thinking of streaming it but i can't really make it work right and i Dont wanna be a lame stream whore. All difficulty options will be maxed except no ironman. You can watch if you PM me, or go thru my post history, but I'm not remotely interested in promoting a badstream. otherwise just give me some info. This is a game where you murder aliens who have conquered earth and you are basically terrorists fighting back to take earth from their control. 0. NAME. Anything that fits and isn't racist, sexist, or otherwise something you'd get banned for. 1.Gender - Male or female 2. Hairstyle - THere are many, google these or give me a rough idea and i'll use the closest approximate haircut available. I have both the xpac and the season pass, so everything available in those is available in you. Make sure to include hair color as well. 3. Clothing. This amounts to armor. Initial armor setups involve near-future military style oferings. Again, google it, but the general themes are - militaristic, "rogue" - as in you can look like a no-nonsesne mercenary who doesn't mind wearing a leather vest and exposed chest to a firefight with aliens. 4. Later on you'll want to choose a specialist class. Theses are: -Ranger. Default weapon is a shotgun, and a sword or axe. Ninja otaku type dude. -Grenadier. - Grenade Launcher and minigun, heavy weapons badass. -Specialist. - You get your own drone. If you want one of these you need to choose the medic path or the hacking path. Keep in mind i rarely keep the hacker on my team as a regular, as the medic specialist is far too useful. -Sharpshooter. - A sniper. Although they are best planted furthest from the action, i tend to lose them the most. They are very good though. -Psi Operative. - Takes a while to get there. I know little anout them, but they're psychics and they do cool things. Choosing this means waiting a while and maybe multiple games. Also a bunch of tattoos and other accessories available. Google this stuff and let me know if you want any of it. I will make as many of these as i can stand to make. You will get a picture of their death shot and all that. I promise nothing as far as matching all requests if a bunch of you want it done. I did this with my friends once with xcom 1 and it's rather fun. I thought i'd try with goons. yall are welcome to laugh and ignore or take me up. the effort involved is less than what it took to write this post so I leave it to you fine gentlemen and ladies.

Depends on the game but manual feels more involved. Auto aim can feel like you are just pressing a kill button. Gets boring after a while.

auto-aim is good on analog systems, where precision is unreasonable. but a mouse, especially a high DPI mouse, as one designed for gaming, has so much precision that auto-aim either becomes a hindrance or striaght up cheating depending on how it's calibrated.

It's not autoaim that's bad, it's retarded controllers that aren't capable of moving a point through space that are bad. Autoaim is just a necessary reaction to their terribleness. Controllers are relatively good at imparting directional momentum, that's about it, using them for anything else is like trying to hammer a nail with a spoon.

Sorry I should have specified, with an analog controller. On a platform where everyone is using it. Autoaim is loving amazing and is barely noticeable when done right. And it makes console games feel great to play. I'm sure some sad gently caress who confuses his own non existent masculinity with being able to click on something with a mouse will say otherwise though.

So is K+M an inferior way to play games now that we have touch screens and VR headsets that provide even better accuracy? Since control is defined by how fast we can click on things apparently? Why use a mouse when you can just tap on something or look at it?

Weird that the person who valiantly defends nintendo and the person who valiantly defends sony both team up to preach about controller supremacy. controllers have their uses and some games are better with them. Hyperlight Drifter is a good example. Fighting games are another. But acting like an objectively worse way to aim is actually the best way to aim because it's harder? Lol. If your preferred consoles ignored half of all button presses would you be fetishizing the concept talking about how it enriches your gaming experience? You guys already explain away the lacking graphical power and aging hardware as having "better presentation."

Console FPS games are retarded and the people who defend console controls as superior are demented. They're also single-handedly responsible for how lazy console ports have enemies run to a certain spot and stand still for 20 seconds and fire intermittently because that's the only way people playing the game with a woggly stick can turn around in time without dying. e: oh, and cover shooters and regenerating health are both pretty much designed only to soften shooting games so they can be bearable on consoles. because hiding behind invicibility walls and boxes for 50% of your gametime is the only sustainable way for players to survive on console. mice are whack because you have to sit up at your desk and click things like i do at my job all day i don't think anybody says controllers are better, nobody says that, but they are usable for modern video games for sure. I know if you keep saying "objectively" over and over again you are being correct but subjectivity is also a thing when it comes to hobbies, believe it or not. Nobody is rating your video game efficiency.
