It's truly a testament to how much psychological trauma goons inflicted on carebears in EVE through scamming and griefing.

This is the main takeaway from SC right everyone? The people who backed the game are all carebears who got run from Eve by Mittani. Derek Smart is there new Mittani. It's exactly the same stuff on reddit if anyone followed that stuff.

IIRC they made a post in like 2015 about how they had to rejigger the weapons system because it turns out it's hard to make the bullets actually come out of the end of the gun and still fly right so they were turning that off temporarily forever.

Or I could be making all that up. With CIG it doesn't really matter.

What gets me is a lot of people saying the 3.0 they've got now is not the 3.0 that is coming "soon" - ie. the live 3.0

Do they really think there's another build of 3.0 hidden away full of content (worms, procedural birds, pets, missions, mining, bounty hunting and drink waitering) and stability (network & server & FPS improvement, bind culling, and lets make some new buzzwords up - enterprise server deference)

I suspect (and will call it here) that the 3.0 release now is it in terms of content, this is what they've spent the last 2 years on since 2.x (or in Game Development years - 6 months, as all times are quartered as we know)

Also, and this really gets me, in a game about space combat and space ships the only time i've seen someone on twitch destroy something in 3.0 is when that dude blue up a ship full of crates. Everyone else is flying around, crashing, trying to land, crashing, and driving around a planet before crashing.

Speaking of procedural, I think this is the white paper that the Star Citizen coder used to put their city tech together:

Your own stats cited show you are wrong. People are playing the game now. They are taking in more money than last year most likely and a huge patch is about to drop adding shittons of mechanics and content.

Every game starts small. Just because they don't have WOW numbers yet doesn't mean its a failure. Its coming and we can clearly see that.

The difference is, RockStar would release a good alpha. Also companies that bring in good money don't need to take out loans. The crux of your argument rests on taking the funding tracker at face value, which is shaky ground to stand on. If a company is so flush in cash, they wouldn't need to put their entire IP on the line in able to take a loan for 4 million, which if they have raised *so much* money, 4 million would be a drop in the bucket, let alone the money that would be earned by 'hedging the currency exchange market.'

Granted loans can be good for a company, but you don't but the lifeblood of the company as collateral in that case.

He blew up the crate ship because it was a stationary target, possibly with its shields off. It's next to impossible to have a good dogfight right now because every system is broken, shields can tank shots for 5+ minutes, and the lag is intense. And you can't do it offline against NPC's because I guess now CIG is banning people for that?

Actually, they're in massive debt to their customers, to the tune of $170m+. If I started a company selling yoyos, took 300 paid pre orders and spent the money on toys of custom porches, I still owe my customers 300 yoyos.
