I figure this is the best place to ask, since I know a bunch of you 3d print.

What's a decent entry-level 3D printer. I just want something I can try playing around with that is cheap, but isn't lovely. Don't care if its only small things I can print - I'd rather get a better quality but smaller unit than a bigger, lovely one.

I have a Wanhao i3 Duplicator Plus, and I'm happy with it, though I'm still learning. It seemed like the best value option when I was looking for one.

This would probably be a good place to ask.

Also, the answer is usually the Monoprice Maker series, or the Prusa i3 if you want the original, and don't mind spending a bit more/supporting the guy who created the model that everyone copies (legally, because he also Open Sourced it.).

I'm a fan of the Creality CR-10 right now. It was around $340 shipped two weeks ago and so far minus some idiot mistakes on my end, it's been great.

You shared it with a dick.

Why does everyone want to move to Denver? It's really getting horrible, traffic is godawful, and the glut of people is driving salaries down and house prices to the moon. And you can't enjoy weekends in the mountains anymore because you spend all night friday and all day sunday in traffic.

Good pot?

I'm just ready for a massive change in scenery. And I figure Denver metro area is as good as any. I just love the area. I'm watching home prices and such out there and am waiting on the eventual bubble to pop. The housing is absurdly expensive. Denver itself doesn't seem TOO bad, but holy poo poo the minute you start looking at Littleton, Centenial, etc, the prices just go loving bonkers.

For printers, my buddy has an Anet A8. Supposedly it's a "cheap knockoff" of one of the more common models, but it works just fine, and there's lots of little upgrades you can make for it once you have it set up.

Need to get one myself one of these days.

it's not going to pop until the entire national market pops, and unless you sell your current house before that...

My house will be paid for in 2 years, less if I go all Ramen noodle 24/7, so not too much worry on my end - which is to say that I can wait out a bad market locally or regionally.

But for Denver area, I just don't understand how the housing can keep going up like it is, or even be remotely sustainable.

Talking cars with my wife and she's found a 13 year old Citroen xsara a few miles away she'd be happy with. Looks pretty clean and I owned one of these with a different engine 10 years back. Not a terrible car all told and cheap as chips so I'll be checking that out in a couple of days. I love how practical and realistic she can be.

E: need to figure out what to gut out of the multipla. Turbo and intercooler are coming, as are wheels, remote oil filter mount, anything common to the panda (some electrical bits).

I'd say Primera or Avensis myself, on the basis they're likely to be less flakey than a Citroen, but if it'll do the job, great.

If you have the space to break it, you could probably do reasonably well out of it, but it's kind of a hassle, so may be best to take a few minor bits and then call the scrap guys. I can't imagine there's a massive crossover with the Panda, though.

Little late to "I could do so much better than Tesla's meagre attempts at changing the world" chat but I bought my E92 M3 from a guy who also had a Tesla P85 and to be honest the first time I went down to try and buy the V8 from him I was more interested in scoping out/having a ride in the Tesla, if you don't like Elon Musk that's one thing but there's no denying that car is incredibly amazing and nothing like EV's of the past.

It looks pretty neat and I like that guys review but with no heated bed you cant do ABS, which you will probably want to do if you want to a lot of car parts.

Yes, most people stop eating them when they graduate from college and start earning "I can eat actual food" money, but if you steam them in an air "fryer" apparently the 8 tots that are considered a single size portion is only 1/4th your daily sodium intake.

As I understand it’s a similar situation to what’s going on in Utah. Tons of transplants needing a place to live, big companies and firms moving into the state creating lots of jobs. Locally here there are a butt load of dual income millennials trying to buy their first homes. Starter homes are in huge demand to the point building is a better value even though they are ~7 months out to build. That gets you about 2500-3000 sqft (includes the unfinished basement) and .13 acre lots. Those are going for over $300k now and usually stuck in developments with HOAs.
