Just come to Australia where the postal service is always slow and ridiculous. Now amazon started properly this week, stay and see them fail because of the postal service. They'll never be able to make auspost run fast. They'll never get USA companies to deal out media, brand or cut out the local distributor rights in order to get close to price parity or be a similar sort of shoppers paradise that it is in the US.

R&S CCNA time after I get through this PE in April. Any certs y'all can recommend for industrial-specific stuff? I see the GISF/GSEC etc certs on that SANS site. Are they any good?

Any home-lab ideas? What's the best way to go about learning? Some people are super anti-cert but I feel I learn best with a combo of cert training and hands-on tinkering.

Yeah I'm well-versed in the head-to-wall method. Expanding RAID arrays on antiquated systems and trying to get whitelisting and firewalls to play nice are some recent pursuits. Figured it doesn't hurt to ask around for some learning nodes, however.

Yeah I'm kinda in the same boat. More and more it seems harder to stay up on current events and technology. I'm very heavily involved the log analysis these days. So mostly I just analyze the bad things that have happened and build detections and/or leverage and/or identify technologies to catch and stop them in the future. A professional captain hindsight if you will.
