So far I think I like this. Makes for a high healing dehaka that is good at dragging and basic attacks.
1 - Tissue Regeneration - More essence, more healing. Works well with later talents like primal rage too.
4 - One-Who-Collects - Must ... collect.
7 - Feeding Frenzy - More dragging is good. Incentives basic attacks.
10 - Can actually go either way on this one. Not sure which one I prefer.
13 - Primal Rage - 60% increased basic attack damage at max essence. Pretty strong.
16 - Elongated Tongue - Makes it easier to land drags.
20 - Essence Claws - Synnergizes well with primal rage, feeding frenzy, and tissue regeneration.

this is basically the same build i use! the only difference being i take the longer Drag duration skill at 7 and the tunneling claws at 16.

i've never actually used the Isolation ult though. i like adaptation too much.

HA! HA! NICE! WHAT A TOOL!
I've started taking iso more. They feel somewhat even at 10 and you can use both to run at their back line but the level 20 iso upgrade is really extremely good, especially for a character who has trouble contributing much to late game team fights otherwise.

Are there any youtubers you guys would recommend? I've watched a few of MFPallytime's A-Z videos on heroes that I've been trying out. Some have been quite helpful, like his Nazeebo video. Others less so. He does like complaining about Garrosh a lot, which makes me really want to try Garrosh.

I used to watch a lot of Pallytime, but occasionally he doesn't have a great time in QM, and the yelling isn't my jam. Grubby uploads lots of his Hero League matches, not always wins - just the right combo of exceptional skill and great attitude.

Junkrat is really fun and good until the late game I've found. Around 18-20 his damage is still good but healing/sustain on most characters becomes so strong that he just can't keep up. He doesn't have the ability to narrow down his damage enough to take out high value targets so I feel like most of time I'm hitting a ton of nades but not really accomplishing anything.

Around 20 he can at least hit all his buttons and then Rocket Ride out to avoid death exp since his damage doesn't come from AA's.

Same but I like the agility quest. It gives you an escape when it's done, and let's you bust of a bush and grab someone real quick. Sometimes switch in Apex Predator at 20 if it's a big map or I've been needing it a lot.

For ult I do Adaptation unless there's some real good target like a hypercarry.

I never liked Junkrat in Overwatch, and I traditionally am not a fan of his general character archetype. I tried him out for the hell of it here in Heroes though, and I have to agree with you on this. He's not my absolute favorite, but he's a ton of fun.

In my last QM, there was a Gazlowe on my team. The opening banter was his generic "Hey, how ya doin'?" and Junkrat's response line was something like "Great, thanks! And I'm a huge fan of your work!" That just had me grinning too much.

Yeah, I constantly go back and forth with Pally based entirely on which video I'm watching. If you want to see some more down-to-earth gameplay and get a general idea of the game, he's not terrible, but he's got a bad tendency to tilt, grouch about his team, or otherwise just play like a numbskull because he literally just woke up or is sick or is on a five game losing streak or didn't eat his Wheaties that day or whatever. Maybe it's less infuriating if you don't recognize all of the mistakes he's making, but when he stoops to blaming his teammates for stuff it's a bad look.

Grubby on the other hand is A+. Dude stays on top of explaining his talent choices, his macro decision making, the works. He's just as quick to admit his mistakes as he is to point out others'. Just a class act all around. Literally the only bad thing I can say about him is that on occasion he gets (probably deservedly) extra snarky with people in his chat over something.

Late game damage with Junkrat seems to rely on a combination of your grenade talent at...is it 16 where you choose spread volley or endless nades?...and then Rocket Riding into everything. Grubby's played a lot of Junkrat lately and he seems to favor going with Taste for Explosions over the trap focused build so maybe that's the way to go if you feel like you're lacking in the damage department but eh, it's just not that big a damage boost so I always feel pretty underwhelmed taking it.

If you're looking for replay analysis, TempoStorm's coach Kala has started posting "community coaching" videos where he talks with one of his subs while going over their replay. In the past two weeks has posted an his channel analysis of a Master Brightwing, Gold Valla, Gold Kharazim, and Diamond Lunara, plus a Gold Jaina, Diamond Greymane, and Silver Rexxar on Tempostorm's channel. He also has older coaching sessions on both channels.

edit: hmm, according to hotdogs his mmr is 500 higher than me, and he's plat/diamond ranked. Apparently routinely gets out healed by Tassasdar though.

Had an Alex on my team that actually refused to heal because she was "damage build". Like you can stand next to her at 20% for 30 seconds and she just would not toss a heal your way.

It has been nigh impossible to balance his builds against each other. There has pretty much always been one "strong," one "weak," and Colossus Smash. He's been crazy overpowered as a QM fucker two different times. First at his launch where Twin Blades + Warbringer could stun-blender-stun an entire team unless you got lucky comp-wise with stuns or blinds, then when they classified him as a non-warrior and he could be a tank against teams full of squishies. QM will be QM and comps will never be perfect, but he broke QM open more than any other hero I've seen.

My opinion remains that multiclass was either an experiment that failed, or a Blizzcon '16 marketing tool. Depends on how optimistic I am at the time.

Edit: I was not playing when they launched Samuro, so I missed the shitstorm he apparently was and don't know if it was even worse than launch Varian.

C Smash and Taunt Varian are both extremely balanced. Twin Blades is special but people seem to absolutely love it regardless so who cares?

If there's a reason multiclass was pointless it's that the definition of warrior includes characters like Sonya and Leoric, and Varian can just be called a straight-up warrior now regardless of which build he picks. Introducing "multi-class" does nothing except maybe make people take the existing role classification way too seriously while Tyrande is still classified as a support.
