I wonder what's sparking the slide?

The tax bill being blatantly targeted at the rich. Not even Republicans are buying it and a lot don't like it: Trump ran on increasing taxes on the rich, not cutting them.

I think the point of Jones flyer was not pointing out the obvious to black people, but demonstrating that he knows the obvious in a state where not a lot of white people do.

The professional brilliance of attacking one of the largest and least-damaged world powers during WW2.

Even if Japan would've been winning in the Pacific they'd still have to eventually contend with the world's first nuclear power and a US that's losing to Japan would've used more than 2 nukes.

Japan's basic strategy was to win hard, get a perimeter, then sue for peace once America got tired of trying to beat it down (though they didn't ever really have all that realistic a plan beyond the initial conquests or why America would get bored). They weren't ever planning on, like, conquering the United States.

The Republican senators from CO/MT/PA, preferably, as all three have Democratic governors. I'd say NC but I know they have a "must be from the same party" law.

In no order:

Cory Gardner (CO)
Steve Daines (MT)
Richard Burr (NC)
Thom Tillis (NC)

Pat Toomey (PA)

all are GOP Senators from a state with a Dem governor

Removed NC as they must be from the same party, although I suppose the Governor of NC can find a "Republican" who very surprisingly caucuses with the Dems.

Doesn't matter for NC - the governor gets to appoint, but he must appoint someone from the same party as the resigning Senator. Cooper would simply appoint the least-bad Republican he could find.

I walked into work today and a guy from another company who I talk to and is pretty pro-trump said something along the lines of, "your favorite guy is screwing things up in the middle East, it looks like."

We went on talking a bit and not only did he question why Trump would stick his dick in that particular hornet's nest, but then went on to agree that Trump frequently does and says things literally just divide people and cause them to argue and take sides.

It's probably the first time I've seen him break from his support. I think things have gone from "pissing off libs lol" to "oh poo poo, he's doing actual damage."
