I've seen the trailer when I went to watch Bladerunner. The vertical favelas and bleak future where backbreaking labour is punctuated with virtual reality as the ultimate bread and circuses for the masses seemed cool, but then some lovely video games and related resistance/revolution plot showed up and no thank you.

Ender's Game didn't turn out to be all that great a movie, OP.

They should have gotten Paul Verhoven to direct and done it like Starship Troopers where it's actually a stinging satirical deconstruction of the original work.
