It's actually matching up evenly skilled teams, so the results should be fairly even unless something goes horribly wrong. So in the end, it's a coinflip, unless popularity becomes ridiculously lopsided. Which can end up screwing with the results big time.

I plugged in my Wii U for the first time since buying a Switch, there are a couple of games I want to finish before I retire it indefinitely (namely Tropical Freeze). For old time sake I played the original Splatoon for a while, and I'm surprised there are tons of people still playing it, all lobbies filled up almost instantly for me (arguably quicker than 2). The graphics are already showing their age, but the game is still just as fun. The lack of Miiverse does make the plaza a very dreary place, though. So Splatfests don't just declare one side better. They outright make the losing side illegal. No wonder Callie had to die.Owers posted:drat, my money was on Pearl's team. Did Marina's team have grey ink? That's different, I would've liked to have seen that.  I actually thought that this was some sort of ice level at first when I saw that.

That latest EU Splatfest win for Pearl was her fifth in a row. The last and only time Marina won was the pre-launch Splatfest. This has clearly been the year of Pearl. Maybe next year will be Marina's if they'd give her a theme that gives her a winning chance.

Nintendo released some additional info about their Japanese Splatfest results: pre:Votes 43.23% - 56.77% Solo 50.35% - 49.65% Team 49.80% - 50.20% As for this week, we'll see the update hit with the Clam Blitz ranked battle Tuesday evening in the Americas. They will also introduce new gear in collaboration with Corocoro manga magazine on Friday. However this might be limited to just Japanese players.
