Yeah, I think it's poking fun at Santa obeying and enforcing class distinctions normally.

The minimum age for Congressional pages is sixteen. Various state legislatures have lower ages, VT for instance allows in students in the eighth grade (about 14-15).

Most places I've worked, at best it was a free lunch. There was only one place I worked that had a stereotypical office Christmas party, and it was never like the comedies, just two free drinks and free food.

I dunno what 8th graders you know, I was 13 when I finished 8th grade and so was my whole class. 14-15 is still high school as far as I know.

Speaking of cartoonists in financial trouble talentless assholes finally getting what they deserve, Kirschen has blamed print media's slow death as to why he has fallen on hard times. Last I checked, he has been working for the Jerusalem Post since 1973, so he'd have to be in some kind of staff position, right?

That's a good idea! Any idea who that one is?

Notice Mark's surprised bug eyes in the final panel: Mark is surprised that Doug got fired for being a perv (real subtle by the way shitlip) which means DOUG HAS BEEN "CAUGHT" WITH HIS FLY DOWN MORE THAN ONCE, enough times that someone other than Mark reported him. being fired means multiple people have reported him multiple times. And, I don't know, maybe just walking around with your fly down constantly is harassment? Maybe that should be a firable offense?
