Looks closer to the illustration of her on the Operator screen/pick screen than the real model is in game. Edit: Does it bother anyone else that the Hibana model in-game looks absolutely nothing like the illustration of her in the Op menu?

I have a 90hz monitor, but Siege won't detect the refresh rate, it's stuck at the default 59.54 or something. The thing is, before White Noise it detected the 90hz just fine and ran smoothly. I have a 1070 so it may be a driver issue, but whenever I installed a new driver and had Siege not detect 90hz, I would simply restart the computer and it would show up. Verifying files, using a different refresh rate, editing the .ini, nothing. And I can't find any documentation about this online. Playing at 60 isn't bad, but 90 is a noticeably smoother experience.

Do we know the actual distance behind short, medium and long range in this game? I am looking at extended barrels but without knowing what the game considers these as its hard to see if they would be worth it.

the result of going from Gold to Bronze in a single day (yesterday). I'm not complaining, had a real bad string of luck, but it's been hella fun playing against people oblivious to sound advantage. get called a hacker after every kill, and I jumped out a window, got spotted, and still managed to pistol snipe two separate dudes near each other as Caveira. people in Bronze also really don't understand how big an advantage you have as a Defender. you can hold the objective, or angles near the objective, and the Attackers are on a time constraint to push you. Attacking was far too easy cause I'd kill one guy, hold an angle, and just wait 20 seconds until their curiosity got the better of them and they slowly walked out and I just headshot them. Ubisoft put out a couple infographics for a few guns when they messed with the damage fall off during mid-season reinforcement patches: Important thing to note is that it's different for each gun. Also some Redditor put together a Google Docs spreadsheet for all the weapons a year ago, but I'm not sure how accurate it is and if it needs updating.

I think it was part of the mid season reinforcements for Operation Health? For instance all SMGs have the same falloff and all rifles have the same falloff, all pistols have the same falloff, all machine pistols have the same falloff. But SMGs, rifles, pistols, and machine pistols have different falloff ranges. I think they said when the falloff starts in the patch notes.

this only matters with shotguns and pistols otherwise the best use these infographics we'll see are from spawnpeekers min/maxing dps even though it basically shouldn't take more than 3 shots from a rifle to kill another player in this game unless it is the first minute of a round and you shot them in the foot from across the entire map

That book is some wack rear end neocon jerkoff gun porn and the story feels like it was scribbled by a child making pew pew noises along the way. Siege doesn't need a story it's not that bad, especially compared to other military fiction books of the era, and especially compared to other Clancy stuff it's mostly about an elite cell of specops dudes popping heads into pink mist and stopping a bioterror group and then leaving them to die in a jungle but i liked the gameverse better when they didn't try to make each operator named and special. It's Ding Chavez and then everybody imo

watching maciejay play shotgun operators, it's clear that you're meant to use mobility to your advantage. you're able to duck and weave whilst hip firing, whereas the person using an AR typically has to stay relatively still or strafe in straight lines to keep their aim accurate. there's a clip of him playing as pulse with a shotgun and he's ducking behind cover, popping up, firing, ducking back, zipping out to the side, firing, back again. it's really cool to watch, it's like total efficient movement. it made me realise i'm way too static when using a shotgun. i'm gonna try weaving around a lot more and just scaring the pants off of whoever i'm fighting by blasting them a lot. i'll save ADS for when i'm coming up behind someone or lining up a tight shot. it's frustrating how hard shotguns are to use, because they're so satisfying. but 9 times out of 10 when i pick a shotgun, i'll usually die without getting any kills. even worse of a feeling when you get one solid shotgun blast off onto a person, only to die to their spray and see they had barely any health left. sidenote: i hate that feeling when you die to a totally avoidable situation, and then realise post-death there was like 2 other avenues of attack you could have taken that would have gotten you right behind the enemies. i hate how often i tunnel vision and will keep hammering the same direction instead of repositioning.

with good map knowledge a shotgun nerd can basically act as a rolling bottleneck an assault rifle or even DMR will generally always be better than a shotgun or LMG but harassment tactics and suppressing fire are actually somewhat viable in this game at least until you get into upper ranked matches where people know how to hold tight angles and not panic when someone is trying to pressure them into doing something impulsive that'll get em killed. but even then, they're still fun and if you aren't playing solo you should be fine

Man Vigil is a pointless operator. Like his guns are fine, but his ability is hot hot dog poo poo. I really cannot wrap my head around how they added an operator who can ring phones, on every defender, twice per round, and can hack cameras, then also added an operator who can revive herself when downed, while having the abiilty for instant ranged breaches and bounced concussions grenades, and then finally they add the physical embodiment of a wet fart of an operator named Vigil. Ooooo he is invisible to drones, how spooky! (except for the fact that every drone in a mile radius knows he's nearby, and there is even a effect that gets stronger so you can determine exactly what room he is in). Wow what a strong operator, you know he's in a room just not sure exactly what corner!

His effect really needs to go away, or else the ability needs to be passive, not active. As it stands his ability is exactly as powerful as repositioning to a different part of the room when you're spotted by a drone.

It's really funny that he's always the first person to be identified in the drone phase, even if you don't see him. Like before you even get in the building if you're near the objective you know they've got a Vigil because you see the effect all the way outside. They either need to drastically reduce the effect radius or just remove it entirely.SpazmasterX posted:Does IQ pick up Vigil when he's stealthing? Seems like she should. Yes.

the wider the better if you are camping in the open and they're trying to drone you out on maps like hereford or house it pays off and is a huge time sink to try and drone out a whole floor when you otherwise could easily because if vigil doesn't shoot or do anything but move around his ability lasts a considerable amount of time it'd be cool if drones in his range couldn't scan. use the little flavor text of how mute likes him to justify them sharing technology because lol echo is immune to cell phone hacks also if you squint just hard enough you'll see that vigil basically looks like recruit. i like to think of him as a new operative that isn't a recruit clone Thief fucked around with this message at 05:58 on Dec 12, 2017 |
