We found this little guy lying in our lawn in the middle of the day late this fall, which is not a good thing at all for hedgehogs to be doing. We handed him to a local hedgehog rescue charity along with a good cash donation. Last we heard he's grown from 1lb to 1,5lbs and was doing well.

Hard to find a vet, hard to get licensed(you have to be USDA Certified, like beef!). Then you get hundreds dumped on you at once because the feds raided a breeder and any that you can't take in immediately will be destroyed. cat tax:

Here's Major's reinforcements coming on the 18th. She's a working great pyrenees who was literally born in a barn and has been rolling around with goats her whole life.  She'll be in charge of sheep and barnyard supervision while Major manages the house and making sure I go to bed on time.
