I wholeheartedly agree. Worst interviewer ever. Would start asking a question, then go off on about 17 different tangents before letting the guest answer and then immediately jump in over the top of them to talk about himself for a bit.

Yeah, they released an album in August. Not as good as their last one and certainly nowhere near as good as their classic stuff.

Now TISM on the other hand...

Edit: many people say Frenzal peaked in the late 90s and others say Forever Malcolm Young was their last good album but IMO Smoko At The Pet Food Factory, released in 2011, is an extremely good album. Can't really say the same for their most recent album. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a listen.

Smoko at the Pet Food Factory is the last physical album I bought, and will have ever bought.

No regrets, great album. New one had a couple of decent tracks but not amazing.

Is there any expectation that the current Liberal gambit of drumming up xenophobia and leaking poo poo about Dastyari will bump their poll numbers into the positive? Seems like they're clutching at straws but they're clutching hard and have a good portion of main-stream media along for the ride.

No its millennials buying houses in Bendigo and Castlemain and commuting into the city because it is the closest and most affordable housing to Melbourne

Yeah. I've got friends who've done exactly that. In fairness, some of them actually wanted to live out there in the first place, it's just they can actually afford to do it, unlike my friends who wanted to live in the suburbs.

Haven’t they predicted the housing bubble is going to burst for like ten years? Won’t the government keep propping it up?

One of my friends keeps saying that’s why they aren’t looking to buy, they are waiting for it to burst so they can then get a three bedroom house with a yard in like northcote and it’ll be cheap as mate. :agesilaus:

My wife and I own our little unit where we like it and can pay way above our mortgage if needs be and we are happy to stay here as it’s got an extra bedroom and spare room for a kid if needs be and near our parents so nothing is lost if the value of it goes down

Column A + Column B.
Riding the 7AM train from Bendigo to Melbourne you aren't getting a seat and there are a *lot* of suits. Also my dad's place is on the south side of bendigo and there are a bunch of housing developments around here (not unlike what you see in Truganina tbqh).
But there's always been a portion of society that wants the "Bendigo/Castlemaine Lifestyle" and who are prepared to pay for the commute.
Similar deal with the Gong/Newcastle if I've heard right.

MysticalMachineGun
Apr 5, 2005

A lot of our friends when we lived in Canberra did a big commute (this was 2010) so they could have a decent sized property. Canberra kind of gets picked up in the Sydney bubble a bit so rents and house prices were pretty high.
