Isn't about 2k the minimum listing these days for a clean titled car with no issues?

To echo everyone else uhh lots of people?

It's a Toyota Camry from the height of 'Toyota' that's in excellent shape with a fresh timing belt. It's on the edge of becoming a classic car, plates and all, and will be recognized as such in another decade, maybe less.

poo poo, I drat near bought a 2001 Solara today for $1200 and it was immaculate. The only reason I didn't buy it was I have nowhere to store it. Toyota's of that era rule.

I think some people are stuck in like 2003 where sub-$1000 well maintained 20+ year old cars could be had. It is a reasonable price for that Camry.

No, that's the best part.

A Toyota Corolla could easily take half that in maintenance.

Agreed.

Sadly I'm getting beat up on my 2001 truck with half those miles and similar giant list of maintenance done and I have it listed for 4k. No real interest so far (some bullshit low ballers throwing out low sight unseen offers) so it's barely worth selling because it's reliable at this point.

Maybe the market is just cheaper in CO because nothing rusts. You can get early 2000s Honda / Toyota / Subarus at $2k all day with the same or less miles. Even some ~2005 civics / yarises / corollas if you look hard enough. My ‘99 Outback Sport with 200k would be $1,500 tops, even without its newfound mechanical problems. And Subaru is probably one of the most in demand brands in CO.

I’m exhausted so I might be missing something, but here’s one of the first things that pops up for “Toyota” with max price of $2250. https://fortcollins.craigslist.org/ctd/d/2001-toyota-corolla-le/6408863858.html

Phone so no screenshot. 98k mile 2001 Corolla in what looks like good condition.

RAAAAARGH!!!! GIFT CARDS ARE FUCKING RETARDED!!!!

(I need a hug)
Well, it hasn't sold yet, so it wasn't a bargain destined to be snapped up quick.
A decade ago any running licensed car would be worth $1k here, but back then a mechanic was $70/hr and licence was $300. These days the minimum buy in amount for anything decent has upped to $2k just because repair bills and vehicle licence costs have gone up so much.

That said though my parents can't sell their holden cruz for $2500 (not the new one, a 2003 model based on the AWD suzuki ignis). No serious offers or anyone coming out to look at it. Just a couple of questions over the phone/messages.
Even a dealer has offered $1500 though which is a sure sign it should go over $2k in a private sale (and they want over $2k plus don't need to trade in as they aren't replacing it with another car). 109,000km, recent timing belt, tyres, brakes, service, 5spd man. No one even wants to look at it because GM/holden reused the name for a korean sedan.

E: No need to tell me why it won;t sell. When I was car-less they offered to sell it to me. Main reason why I didn't bite was I even thought at the time this is going to be a hard thing to off load when I want to get rid of it.

The Chief package is most noticeably comprised of widetrack axles and fender flares. (Also special paint/decals and interior appointments.) The blue one I posted is a Cherokee S. (You can see the "S" badge in the 3rd pic.)

I've been making lowball offers on shitboxes all day. KIA owners hate their cars so much that they accept pretty much whatever number you throw at them. Can't find much in the way of not rusted to poo poo Escorts nearby though.

The "wood" itself looks awfully fake, but the "grain" is nice. Thats like Walnut grain. Rich guys that own fancy guns pay big money for that kind of grain.
