I always thought they used yuck my yums like parting the kimono, in that the point is that it sounds gross and it's funny to make your brothers feel uncomfortable in a jokey way.

New TAZ is up, the Nashville Live Show http://maximumfun.org/adventure-zone/adventure-zone-live-nashville

This live show really highlights how not conducive at all this show is to a live setting with an hour and a half of game time. Griffin sounds panicked in the back half and increasingly annoyed that the rest are goofing off, and sort of breezes through parts of the story. The goofy bits are more fun and can be done much more in a relaxed environment without time constraints. They either need to nail down the live arc timing or extend the time they're allowed on stage.

Yea, live dungeons and dragons is grim unless it's something like Dragon Friends where the joke is they're just gonna gently caress around anyway.

I thought it was good but it is pretty funny (not ha ha funny) how mad Griffin gets when he's stressing about the time limits or whatever

I haven't listened to this week's yet, but for my money the best live TAZ is still the wrestling one. It was basically perfect in every conceivable way, and because there wasn't really a broader story framework, it didn't have to be as rushed toward the end.

Yeah the cardboard team building one was excellent. They've all been good though, including this one. Griffin is just an anxiety filled doofus.

I mean it's already stressful just GMing during a live show, I'm sure it's a million times worse trying to make sure all the good stuff happens in such a short amount of time.

Yeah, the problem is Griffin is the one responsible for ensuring an actual end to the story happens by the end of their alloted time. It seems like he's been learning, as this live show only had like three separate puzzles/encounters. Justin seems to try to help push it along when Griffin gets anxious, but Travis and Clint are literally incapable of not doing a bit as soon as it occurs to them.

Also, the concept of pulling a casino heist just to steal the 15 bucks the son of a bitch owner borrowed from you and never paid back that he used to start the place is wonderful.

I'm fairly sure they thought it was the same dweeby kid Taaco knocked off the rafters in the wrestling live episode. Which wouldn't even make sense, but whatever. edit: jesus, like a second late
