I was trying out different builds with Murky last night and somehow managed to 1v1 a Garrosh and a Stukov in the same match. If Egg Shell + Big Kahuna Tuna is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Nova is absolutely gross right now. Only Tracer stands a chance. Nerfs incoming. I feel like Valeera kinda sucks. It's just too hard to get without dropping invisibility. She's disgusting if she can get the drop though.

I don't see what Q build Hanzo brings that Chromie couldn't do better. I think redemption+w build is the way to go, assuming (i) you can keep your redemption stacks and (ii) your team isn't going to be gimped by running a build that only flourishes in the late game.

Hanzo's Q is easier to hit than chromie's, dirt cheap, and great for wave clear with the explosion. It also hits buildings. I've been having a blast with him whereas my time with Chromie is usually spent kicking myself for not having completed her quest before Heroics unlock.

Is there some select-a-map mechanic in Quick Match they've added that I've missed or something? In the past eighteen hours, I've played six rounds of this game, and each and every one of them has been on Cursed Hollow. I'm loving sick of this map, even if it's the most traditionally Dota-like.

Queued up as Tracer now. It's Cursed Hollow again. I'm going to send a support ticket. I just keep getting this map over and over. I wonder if this is intentional because I tell teams that spaz out over losing that, first of all, it's just quick match, and number two to not expect too much of me because I main Dota and only come here to chill and not get sweaty. If I got reports for my attitude, I could see a GM in a mood to troll giving me the game's most Dota-like map on endless repeat. I don't know if it's technically possible, but it's either that or a bug or really poo poo luck.

My problem is, I'm not a new player. I've been playing on and off since beta and have a level 69 profile. And this only started with the Hanzo/Holiday patch. EDIT: Ticket submitted. I didn't want to look dumb and send one and then get another map, but I can't keep playing this game any longer if it won't give a little variety. Try an AI game to see if it breaks you out of the pattern? You can quit AI games with CPU allies with no penalty. If not, sell your account. That's worth 100 bucks to someone

I normally see a level 100-300 profile in my games but last night had a game where the other side had both level 700 and a guy over 1000, while I was the highest of my team at 68 and combined we wouldn't make 100. We sort of just fretted around for a bit and fed a few times and then let them charge in and wreck the place.

Fiddling with the matchmaking at all caused the entire thing to burst into flames. edit: I can't even log in now. Is that the case for anyone else? Some of the stuff on reddit from when HL was up was pretty wild. Multiple pro players getting major penalties to ranked points for playing correctly (there was a good writeup about how the system intends for tanks to take as much damage and use cooldowns as much as possible, and penalizing efficient tank play), some high rank GM players getting moved back to Diamond/Plat/Gold, and vice versa

I really don't get the attachment to Performance Based MMR. I mean I get why it would be nice to have, and I get that whiny terrible players think they're unfairly stuck in Bronze or whatever. BUT: 1) The bads are still going to be stuck in Bronze even if the system works. 2) You're very likely going to create perverse incentives

PBMMR was doing things like giving out negative points to people who won games quickly. If one team stomps the other, they should get more MMR, so that they get up to the MMR band they belong at and not get matched up with people who can't compete with them and get stomped.
