The Puppy Bowl posted:It was a 1 point away loss to probably the best team in the AFC. The Ravens scored 38 points. There were quite a few games this year where the Ravens looked like total trash but last week wasn't one of them. It certainly wasn't the overall worst performance of the year but thats beside the point. I genuinely wanted to make peace with Harbaugh for us year after the Lions game but as I said, that hinged on a respectable performance(note I did not say close) against Pittsburgh. In the third quarter he was on his way and I was very pleased. But after that embarrassing meltdown after the game was in hand(despite plenty of help from the refs!), forget it. Thats why Im rooting for the Browns today. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got owls to find here

^^^ Bird on you beautiful mad bastard. I think I've accidentally ensured a Baltimore Superbowl berth. I'm flying out to Michigan to meet up with some friends and the only return flight I could land is in the air for the game's entire theoretical run time.

What an amazing journey. Marvin turned around the most snake bit, terrible franchise in the league through excellent drafting and even keeled leadership only to have them accomplish nothing in increasingly dramatic fashion. End of an era indeed.

Does any other living owner besides Richardson have a huge statue of themselves in front of their stadium? They showed it on tv during the Vikings Panthers game last week and I couldn't believe the hubris.

It's been around a while in the college game (where it's easier to implement since linemen can go farther downfield by rule without being ineligible), I think this is the first year it's been a big thing in the NFL. Er. RPO means Run/Pass Option if that wasn't already clear to you.
