Well I guess Lex's turn back to full-blown super-villain is going at a clip! Aztek though, that's a ride.

It didn't click with me that Priest created a Black Panther pastiche with that Red Lion guy till seeing him on that solicited JL cover. Also, Sideways has a character named 'Tempus Fuginaut'

Finally picked up last week's Flash. I really liked it, although their choice of murder victim makes me sad. I always wanted that person to show up again in a non-dead role.

Seems like what the Calculator and the Hood (in Marvel) did years ago. A villain union. I have to imagine it's been done before those two as well. And obviously Venture Brothers has the Guild of Calamitous Intent. They're just focusing on different aspects.

Serpent Solutions was Nick Spencer's idea of doing a hip update of this process where they became a publicly traded corporation with advertising campaigns and poo poo and if a company was about to have an Enron-style scandal the Serpents would come in and be like "you're going to take the fall for this or we'll slit your children's throats. Don't believe us? We're going to take another executive and execute him in front of the entire board and throw their corpse down onto a crowded street and basically yell DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY and when Captain America tries to stop us we'll go onto Fox News and talk about how no one can arrest us because we are a corporation and why is Captain America against small businesses and job creators and pro Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter and it's Unamerican to not allow us to murder people on the free market 1% chain migration invisible hand sovereign citizen ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffart. And then the police and FBI and SHIELD and Captain America and the Avengers would go "dang well we lost that PR battle and I guess we can't arrest them!"

Edge & Christian posted:It is that, but dumber. In the 1980s Gruenwald did the Serpent Society that was very much like the Guild, in that the concept was "let's all pool our resources and not underbid each other for contracts to rob/kill people, plus we'll do profit-sharing and have health insurance and really good lawyers and agree to break each other out of jail and stuff." They had a code and could be reasoned with/bought off and whatever, but they were still criminals doing criminal stuff and would get arrested and whatnot. Which is basically how the Guild/Hood's gang/Kingpin's gang/DC's Secret Societies/etc. work. Why is my nose bleeding after reading that?

Kind of like Serpent Solutions where he saw like a political cartoon about how Corporations Are People Too, Friend and thought "hey man if a CORPORATION murders people they have diplomatic immunity... and what if a CORPORATION has an app you use to murder someone, you can't arrest the person who just used an app to pay to murder someone, and you can't arrest the CORPORATION, and you can't arrest the murderer because they're just following orders from their corporate bosses... they thought of everything!
