"replica" is also good for wonderful search results. there's not one, but two of these beauties available. it seems they were unable to sell them and made the logical choice of raising the price. https://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/d/lincoln-town-car-rolls-royce/6390724915.html https://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/d/lincoln-town-car-rolls-royce/6390738513.html

Not worth it, because when you bring it out once a year to show off, everyone just thinks it's a 3rd gen Corvette.

That... actually makes some sense. I forget about Chrysler's longitudinal FWD cars. Fits better than a transverse would. Even stock makes a lot more hp than the flat four. Probably better suspension geometry, too.

A friend of mine, after selling his somewhat run-down 86 LTD Crown Victoria sedan we worked on together, asked me to keep an eye out for a better one for him. His only requirements was that it was the boxy pre-88 models and it had to be black on black.quote:-1981 LTD Crown Victoria Grill I'm pretty much at the point of grabbing him by the shoulders and violently shaking him to buy this one.

Brolander posted:posting again on this page for Maaaaaan this sort of sales bitch bothers the gently caress out of me. That 75+ mph claim, like, extremely extremely question. I don't doubt it can do 65 but it probably won't want to do more than 55-60 sustained, I don't know what the redlines are on these and where your RPMs will be at that speed. Unless it's been removed it will have a speed alarm that starts up at 85 kmh, right around 55 mph. That 70mpg is just a straight up lie, mid-to-high 40s if you baby it, but if you drive it to keep up with traffic on North American roads then you'll probably get low 40s high 30s. Also, these aren't exactly unicorns unless you included 'with Homeland Security Entry Form' and 'US state title' to that, these show up at auction all the time. Based on what I know they probably paid 2000-2500 for this if it's in excellent shape. Doesn't mention of the odometer has rolled over (as it is only 5 digits) but considering they are a dealer and probably imported this themselves then they know, that information is front and center on the auction sheet. That they don't specify puts me into doubt, although the seats look pretty good so maybe it is the original mileage. The back of the thing plainly states '200kg' capacity on it, that is 440 pounds so they are getting loose with 'oh also passengers' or, again, just straight up lying about 900 pounds. The price isn't bad for one in the US already, but the kid-on-the-playground-uncle-at-Nintendo-style pumping up of what these cars are like is totally unnecessary, the thing is super unique and you don't need to do anything more. If someone wants a Mighty Boy then they are going to want a Mighty Boy. Import one yourself and pay 5000 instead. That said, Mighty Boys are cool as hell. I remember a workmate had one in 1992. He loved the thing and seemed like he spent all his money at the car audio shop. The ute tray had 2-4 subs in it and he even added power windows so he could get rid of the winder and fit bigger speaker pods for the doors. At the time it was the first aftermarket power window kit I had seen.\ Anyway, that's my story on the mighty mighty boy
