Tomlin is a pretty good and probably mildly underrated coach, inasmuch as he's pretty bad on game day (and he continues Cowher's tradition of being utterly inflexible) but he's pretty drat good at identifying and coaching up good players.

Hmm, that's got me thinking: who's worse, '08 Detroit or '17 Cleveland? Just at a cursory glance: Average score: Detroit: 16.75 - 32.31 Cleveland: 14.79 - 25.86 One score (<=8 points) games: Detroit: 5 (only one game within a FG, which they lost by two...where this happened) Cleveland: 6 (including 2 OT losses and 4 games lost by a FG) Cleveland seems to be much more competitive in their losing, based on those hopefully-not-too-arbitrary numbers, but Jesus Titty loving Christ they managed to lose during their bye week in spectacular fashion. Watch as the Bears gift them a win.

News I looked up Josh Gordon's contract status after this year and  Views: Exclusive Rights Free Agency is a he'll of a thing. As long as we offer him at least 3 years at Veteran Minimum he has 2 choices take that contract or not play in the NFL.

The odds of that happening are nil and Green Bay would eat a fine/draft picks being taken away if there is any punishment (which there almost surely won't be). But for the sake of argument what type of contract would Aaron Rodgers get on the open market? He is 34. He is coming off an injury. As I read it, the league, if it finds a violation, doesn't have leeway on the punishment, it's spelled out - the player gets released. So they can't use a lesser punishment to get around it, they have to pretend nothing happened.
