Weird how there's just a bunch of white space on the left side of that nice picture of Guts and Casca.

This is still the best comic. I hope it's finished before I turn 40. I just....I just don't wanna be 40 years old and still reading it.

Man things loving happened in that chapter. Fire Grandma came back, Blade Dog fired a cannon at Darkness Hawk, it looked like they barely escaped what could have been a recreation of The Eclipse, and now they hit the big bombshell other than the horror that broke Caska - what it produced.

Felt as though the art quality took a bump up too this time out. Less moéblob than it has been and really clean overall, though maybe some of the action was a bit hard to parse.

Manga action always seems hard to parse (but at least it's nowhere near the confusion of Trigun Maximum Omnibus 5). I just realized this might be a result of improper formatting; IE, I read it on my damned pheun. Were these pages 2m wide on a wall, I suspect things would be more clear. On the todo list: 1. Download recent chapters and catch up on my printouts. 2. Throw them up on my plasma and benefit from it's great handling of deep blacks.

Not to mention Berserk Dog flips around his tail to attack which is a little hard to follow compared to the logic of human hand and a magnetic gauntlet swinging a big gently caress off sword.

Not at all, some manga action is extremely easy to follow and it's often true of Berserk. Dragon Ball's manga is masterful, it flows like water. It's also pretty simplistic in comparison where that's the last thing you'd describe Berserk as.

Portraying action in comics is a definite skill. Some artists have the knack, some just get good at it and some never do. Miura relies a little more heavily on his spreads than most but I can usually follow his action scenes. On the other hand in like Made in Abyss, I absolutely love the art but can’t follow what is going on in a fight for the life of me.

Crossbone Gundam is surprisingly decent at it, which is surprising because the artist is poo poo at everything else.
