That is the literal translation- well, the one on the left slurs "old" so that it's spelled with the wrong opening consonant. But the reason that's in there is because they're not using pseudoformal speech even though they obviously don't know each other and neither of them is interpreting it as an insult.

Well isn't this typical. Kelly finds a statistic implying that excessive wealth inequality isn't even beneficial to those on the top end, yet still finds a way to blame everything on lazy millenials.

Yeah this is kind of back-to-back but I've been really paranoid the new thread will start before I reach my arbitrary stopping point. I'm not sure if or when I'll participate in the new thread, so it's important to me that I get it right.

Also got to imply that someone earning 75k is only earning a "moderate" amount and is not making "lots of money"

Which is weird to me. Why WOULDN'T you protect your $600+ electronics? And plenty of cases look good and are very sturdy. It's why Otterbox is so popular.

I don't care how sturdy they make it, my phone would have been broken a hundred times over without an otterbox.

To be fair, I do tend to drop it several times a day.

Wilbur is written as such a completely, thoroughly self-centered unsympathetic jerk - and that's saying something, given that this is Mary Worth. I find myself wondering what the point is.
