Not gonna lie while I really enjoyed The Last Jedi, the Mortal Engines teaser had me more excited than the movie ever did.

King Kong was about an hour too drat long and had horrible slomo sequences but otherwise I really liked it. It definitely thought its characters were more interesting than they actually were too, could have cut most of the crap in the opening and a lot of the boat trip.

Mom and Dad is gonna be pre' sweet. It's kind of amazing to me that ever since those guys went splitsies we haven't really seen a lot from Taylor, even though he and Neveldine are still clearly identical aesthetic and thematic twins. BTW, Neveldine's no hack on his own, The Vatican Tapes and Officer Downe are both quite impressive.

Kind of bummed that the trailers for Fury Road don't appear to be on my Bluray (R1 at least). It's a natural consequence of the premise and set up by a line you almost forget after 70 seconds of Cage smashing everything.

I'm torn. Slenderman is like the awkward goon poo poo that I sometimes regret participating on because of what became, but the movie actually looks pretty good. Hope it ends with slenderman not being real and it's just the hallucinations of a crazy kid. for giggles.

slenderman is the dumbest and most interesting thing, watching this stupid loving bullshit story turn into this full blown urban mythology has been pretty neat. I wonder if my kids will some day be afraid of the slenderman and talk about it with their friends like some of the creepy poo poo when I was a kid like the mothman or whatever.
