It doesn't really say and the site still shows pre-regitration, it just showed up on the app store. I still can't get in but I see some chat stuff while it's loading so maybe they just have limited servers

It soft launched in New Zealand about 2 week’s ago, and now apparently Canada. No US release yet. You can just search for it if you’re in those countries.

It's almost exactly DC Legends/Galaxy of Heroes. Am I missing something or is it impossible to level up the attack and health this event? The only way I could get Black Widow's costume the way I'm going now is if I buy a bunch of health packs.

Oh i'll probably buy the statue because the last time I bought one of those X over Y days crystal things it went on 3x as long as it meant to. Also I'm more interested that I can get Hawkeye. Though shouldn't Hairball be Chewie?

The Widow costume would probably cost you 2000+ shards if you’re not already on streak 9 or 10 today. Odds are one of the other costumes required for the statue will be in a crate making it cost about 3000 itself.

You can't, you need to get all the impossible to get premium costumes. In other news I finally got Strike Force working and it's pretty good. I gave up on the DC one right away so can't compare to that, but I play Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and it's pretty much that. Seems good so far, I mainly play these kinds of games at work so as long as it has an auto play option I'm happy

Avengers Academy just hits you from all angles this event. Tiny amount of items from long missions on the board. 6 1/2 hour healing timers. No combat upgrades. Requiring Howard to beat the last 2 sectors. The last sector being 50% pass/fail depending on who goes first the final round and requiring 4 floaties which can take up to 32 hours to get if you don't aggressively reroll missions. I'm at 1/25 hawkeye arrows after 9 fights, and didn't get pizza for fight 4 so I'm at the mercy of customer support to get Lucky in time (no reply yet after 26 hours). And that's the easy week 1 of an event, and not even getting into the widow costume, where Hairball the cat can't fight the boss, and you need to shell out a ton to get through 8-10 on the boss in between his short healing timers, your long healing timers, and the 7 day quest timer. Sorry had to vent, I knew what I was getting into with these games but yeesh, sometimes it just feels sadistic.

The tiny amount of water wrings you get from the jobs to fight the soldiers is just stupid, and then a loving 6.5 hour wait time for fully healing? Thank god I don't give a poo poo about any of the actual reward characters. I am sticking with the dc one because its only terrible with Deathstroke, otherwise its fine, but I like how rather than costumes, it just gives you another version of the character. There's like what, 4 batmans? I'll give strike force a try, it sounds like Avengers Alliance, which kind of started all this.

Yeah I'm going to get Pizza Dog because that's cool, but I'm not going to spend money on a costume for Widow, and I cannot imagine I'm going to get Hawkeye. This game really is one of the worst examples of FTP and the only reasons I stick with it are Marvel characters and sunk cost

I don't know if anyone else plays it , but I occasionally play the "Spider-Man Unlimited" runner game. It has only Spider-Man characters, but it has really, really deep cuts in Spider-Man characters. I can play as Spider-Girl and Mania the teen-Venom, which is all I need; but also it has caused me to learn of the existence of other one-off or forgotten characters that I think are interesting. I've read old comics I would have passed on because of this game, so I guess it's working.

Strike Force is basically Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes with marvel stuff, and its decent right now. The way characters level up and then have gear levels that also improve, that we have generic troopers and named characters, the various things to do, yea it's basically the same as GoH. Though the hero mission I'm stuck on right now is kinda busted as you have to protect Fury, but as soon as Luke Cage's protect status goes off, Fury gets hit, and he can only take 3 hits. The only way to finish it I can see is to either spend money to get another protect character, or just level up and brute force my way through the mission.

No Academy voice spoilers up on Voices.com so far. I saw someone on Reddit mention that the next event might be Dr. Strange related again for some reason, so possible they don't need new voices. Yeah I don't think there are really any hero protectors you can farm that early either. Maybe one of the Shield troopers? I think the daily reward one might taunt? There's another character I got very early but may have been from orb luck. It's called Shield Specialist I think? It's a female character with dark hair. Her special ability stealths and heals your lowest health character. If you have Night Nurse available to farm she's good too.

I am hoping they follow up with Fury telling Billy they have to go find his mom. And no Night Nurse yet, but I'm leveling up fairly fast doing the Villain missions and just farming Bucky and Widow shards.

Night Nurse is great because her basic heal targets your lowest health guy so she can keep a priority target alive on those missions where the ai focus them without taunts. Shield Operative can be farmed from Nexus 1-6 (Not sure if you unlock Nexus after that mission or not) and she has a 2 turn cooldown heal that targets the lowest health person and also stealths them so they can't be targeted. She's probably worth farming for that alone. Your other option is to stack damage and kill the enemy faster than they can attack, farming gear levels on your high damage characters (eg punisher) will help a lot with that.

Yea I just brute forced my way through it, got to level 17 just by farming bucky, widow, and yondu nodes and was able to just destroy the enemies. Now I'm on the Cap one, but that one is clearly too strong for me. Working on Nexus now, but its also tough as hell.
