Gotta go with C as well, Korean Robert's saga is too good to not continue that way. From salaryman to bond tech to resistance fighter to commissioned Lieutenant to Clan Warlord. It's great, the only thing that would make it better would be a reappearance of the office chair and Rozinski Ami. Make it happen, PTN!

Clan Office Chair Also, dangit Gun Jam, our precious, unique Draconis Suns... This better lead to an invasion of the Capellans and not making it easier for the Capellans by the Federated Suns invading the Taurians. RA Rx fucked around with this message at 16:41 on Dec 31, 2017 |

C Border disputes and misunderstandings by the Hell's Horses are the most likely cause of any immediate flare up between the Feds and the Dracs. If a steady hand can prevent relations from degrading that way, then who knows? Will the FedSuns military still be helping the Combine fight the clans? If so, then how much of it?

I do think that an amiable split benefits the FedSuns more than the Combine, especially since the Combine is going to eat a face full of second invasion soon. I can't imagine Chandy is terribly pleased since he always struck me as relatively progressive and would've liked to have that FedSuns influence on their culture rubbing off on them over time, as well as more immediate access to their less-battered industrial base. However, with the signs that we're coming up on the thread's final stretch, this is a rather refreshing way to end the DracSuns subplot, not with a bang, but a handshake.

It's worth noting that Hanse's understanding of the possible ramifications of C are based on a fundamental misreading of Clan culture; he assumes that because there's a person sworn to Korean Robert who has the same last name as the deceased Khan that they must be in line to be the new Khan, so Robert should have the whole Clan well in hand. His assumption is pretty groundless. Having said that, the uncertainty - and the possibility that Hanse is gonna gently caress himself by being too clever for his own good - just makes me love option C all the more.
