I still don't really "get" the whole ratio thing. It feels like a joke someone made about certain posts having a certain pattern that now everyone takes really really super serious.

Most people that agree aren't going to comment but instead hit like. Most people that disagree aren't going to hit like but instead comment and tweet at you to eat poo poo or something.

Having a lot more more written responses than likes is the closest we have to a "dislike" count.

Democrats earn a super majority in congress and what do they do? Attempt to tackle healthcare issues and pass a super reform bill that will ensure wider health coverage for all Americans, remove pre-existing conditions, and cap insurance industry profits. It wasn't a perfect bill, but it was a good start. Republicans earn a majority in congress and they pass a sweeping tax cut for the super wealthy and corporations and take a swipe at dismantling the Democrats efforts in 2009 in the process by repealing the health insurance mandate. It isn't conscionable to vote for republicans.

This would be delightful. It’s funny, everyone says “only Blue state’s are targeted by this!!!” But Ohio has state and local income taxes that can add up to 6-7% including municipal taxes. In fact, check this out: http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral/index.ssf/2017/04/did_you_realize_ohios_income_t.html That same $100k family would only pay a few thousand more in New York.

Comey would still be getting poo poo on by Trump quietly if he wasn't fired. Him having buyers regret doesn't make him some messiah; he's tolerated because he's a weapon against Trump and his administration.

lmao Republicans pass an insane bill to starve the federal government of revenue and give handouts to the rich, and the Democrats' response is to...starve the federal government of even more revenue and give handouts to other rich people who feel left out. What a worthless party. Why not...raise the state corporate tax rate to compensate and then fund some loving services for your people. You could even use part of that revenue to give these handouts to the sad sad six-figure earners who thought Republicans would give them free money, if you still really really want to become the party of the rich. Bottom Liner posted:What are you talking about? What is the context for the image you're replying to? Blue states are investigating options so taxes don't go up for their residents while still maintaining full funding, while also giving the finger to the feds One of the options is literally switching to more corporate taxes over income tax, but that is still to regressive for some in this thread I guess

Bottom Liner posted:What are you talking about? What is the context for the image you're replying to? State Democrats are trying to find a loophole to cut taxes for the rich people who are sad that they got taken for a ride by Republicans and lost out on their state & local tax deductions. Apparently giving more money to the rich and bankrupting the federal government even harder is a huge blow to Trump and the Republicans, or something.
