Here is my dynasty roster heading into 2018. Won the league this year. Start QB/2 RB/2 WR/Flex/TE/K/DL/LB/DB. Already released RB Zenner, RB Lacy, DB Haden from the squad. Draft picks for 2018 are 2.9, 4.9, 4.11 and past round 4 everything is at 9. Suggested position upgrades?

QB - Wentz/Newton/Roethlisberger/Mahomes

RB - Gurley/Freeman/Drake/D. Cook/McKinnon/Crowell/Breida/Perkins

WR - Evans/Agholor/J. Brown/Ty Williams/Taywan Taylor/J. Reynolds/J. Ross/J. Matthews

TE - Graham/Kittle/J. Cook

K - Gostkowski/McManus

DL - Mack/Vernon/McKinley

LB - D. Lee/Jack/Timmons

DB - R. Parker/T. Wilson

I figure I am weakest at WR and DB and will focus on those with the draft picks. I think I should trade a RB for a top WR to pair with Evans. I will probably dump Perkins before the draft.

Thoughts?

See if Freeman breaks out during the playoffs then try to sell him high for a solid WR. I couldn't see myself parting with Drake, Cook, or McKinnon unless I got a serious offer. McKinnon only because he's a FA and I want to wait and see where he lands.

I might also look at moving Newton instead depending on his playoff performance and how high you can sell him.

Nice - Wish I found this during the season.

Can anyone recommend a place to find IDP end-of-season, pre-draft, pre-free agency set of dynasty rankings?

IDP Guru said he probably won't do one as he wants to revamp the site first.

Who is perriman? I can't even name the team.

Another no-name rookie wr after one season yet continually hyped?

Williams
Davis
Perriman?
Doctson
Ross
Treadwell
Boyd
Does Coleman count?

The 2012 class was bonkers. Made us all put more weight on WRs than we should.

The 2012 class was bonkers. Made us all put more weight on WRs than we should.

2014 was the bonkers year. Perriman drafted in mid/late 1st by Ravens in 2015, super fast but can't catch the ball, was widely touted as a probable bust that a team would reach for because of his speed, then had multiple leg injuries. No one really hyped him, but there were about a million targets up for grabs in Baltimore and even a supremely average receiver could've been usable there, Perriman just wasn't even that.

No one thought Boyd or Ross would do much. After his rookie year, no one has any expectation for Treadwell. Doctson is coming along nicely, he's just following a normal receiver's development, not a ridiculous one like the top 2014 guys. Coleman was going to be the man in Cleveland, but somehow Josh Gordon has come back, so who knows.

Also, can't believe you forgot Kevin White :kiddo:

Had a draft tonight just for playoff games - all scoring based on actual points scored

QB - 6 points for a passing TD, 6 points for the QB getting a rushing TD

3 WR - 6 points for a TD

2 RB - 6 points for a TD

TE - 6 points for a TD

K - 3 points for a field goal, 1 point for an XP kick

With this scoring system had he been healthy wouldn't you 1.1 Legatron? Wouldn't most of round 1 just be kickers?

If you drafted solely based on total points scored then every team would have a QB at the end of the second round in one QB leagues.

I think it the first round (8 teams 8 rounds) went

Gurley
Bell
Brady
Kamara
AB
Kelce
Kareem Hunt

Lutz was the first kicker picked

I ended up with:

Antonio Brown
Mark Ingram
Brandin Cooks
Case Keenum
Mohammed Sanu
Chris Boswell
Austin Hooper
Jonathan Stewart

:smithicide:

Edit: only a $20 buy in though

We have a six man $20 one. Only difference is 2QBs, 2 TEs, 2K and 2 DST. You gotta make some hard choices that way. My team is

Case Keenum
Nick Foles
Leonard Fournette
Rex Burkhead
Alshon Jeffery
Sammy Watkins
Stefon Diggs
Rob Gronkowski
Kyle Rudolph
Josh Lambo
Kai Forbath
Minnesota D
Buffalo D

I hope you all had a good season.

Don't make Do make my mistake, go out drinking with people from your league, talk poo poo cause you won, and order this online when you get home.

Fuckin owns dude congrats.

Also I'm starting stuff for 2018 on the goon project site and Matt Harmon told me the NFL next gen stats are going to incorporate the stuff I planned to chart this offseason so I'm at a loss.

Any ideas for something you wish sites would explore in the offseason but don't?

And related, I'm going to be working on a piece about hype all stars. The best example was Marcus Mariota last year. He started out going well outside the top 10 by ADP and ended up being ranked as high as top 5 places solely based on the churn of offseason navel gazing and adp inflation...

...any idea what the hell that category of player should be called?

I would like to see more retrospective coverage of offensive schemes and how coaches used their personnel in the previous season and to what effect. Then, use that analysis to draw predictions for the upcoming season. That could be especially interesting in the context of how a new coach would impact the usage of players on their new team, for instance.

How about a mirage, since they look so good when we're all thirsty in the off-season desert of real fantasy news, and then they disappear?

A lemon? Not only because they get way hyped, and fail to deliver, but when you draft them everyone else at your draft who is in the know about fantasy gets sour because they wanted them.
